How is your first day of reading going?
Did you start early?

message 2: by Susy (new)

Susy (susysstories) Day 1:

Thanks to the readathon, yes, I started early before leaving for the day. Normally I would have watched a tv series but now I read. Next to reading Little Fires Everywhere and The Silent Companions I will be listening to The A.B.C. Murders (although part of the Poirot series it reads as a standalone).

The A.B.C. Murders: 37% (I'd started before today)
Little Fires Everywhere: 36%

Having hardly been at home today, I'm not displeased at all. Now time for bed as tomorrow my alarm will go off VERY early...

message 3: by Marieke (new)

Marieke (marieke1234) I started reading around 7:30 this morning. I had a long day of school (we had a field trip) so I got home quite late as well. I did however read on the bus.

Daymaly Rodriguez (daymalyrodriguez) | 5 comments Not really, I stayed up late last night finishing Obsidio from the Illuminae series. A few hours ago I started another book (Before we were strangers) a stand-alone. Hopefully I can finish it tonight.

message 5: by BlurryBug (new)

BlurryBug | 357 comments Day 1 I read:
214 pages of Two Can Keep a Secret
I got very sad I had to stop because it is so good but I got workmen coming at anytime between 8 am and 2 pm (taking bets on when he will actually show)
and I read the entire Pride and Joy not a standalone just needed something to warm up with.

Jasmiina F (slipperbunny) | 5 comments Day 1: 50 pages from Dodger.

I was at work so I didn't have much time to read.

Day 2: 40 pages from In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin.

Hopefully today I'll get to finally read.

Day 3: 110 pages from Fear the Worst.

Total Pages Read: 200

Day 2
Started work at 5 am and just got home (7.30 pm); alarm will go of at 3 am tomorrow so I don't think I'll be doing much reading today :(
I did listen a bit more to my audiobook last night and will probably listen some more when I get to bed (if I don't fall asleep immediately).

message 9: by Vivian (new)

Vivian Wolkoff | 27 comments Physical books: I read about 50 pages of Lute como uma garota: 60 feministas que mudaram o mundo and up to page 195 of Não Entre em Pânico.

Audiobooks: I tried reading A Very Large Expanse of Sea but didn't connect with it. I don't think I'll be picking up this book again or anything by its author to be honest. I managed to listen to 20 minutes of it, but I have no idea how many pages that is. I also listened to the first half hour of The Nowhere Girls. I liked this one much more and will continue listening to it tomorrow.

Finally, ebooks: I read about 5% of The Assistants and 75% of A Nordic King. I hope to finish Nordic King by tomorrow.

Sophia (sophiax) | 3 comments Day .01:
I started reading my AYearAThon TBR the day before the actual start because I just finished reading HP & the Goblet of Fire, so I was just pumped to read. I started around 8pm I think and I read I think 26 pages of Radio Silence that day.

Day 1:
Woke up around 7:30, got ready, had breakfast and drove to the dentist. I was reading on my way to the appointment, and while waiting for my turn. Same thing, on the way back home, but I did not read when I actually got home. I read up to 224 pages (I think, something like that). The book was going pretty well for me; enjoying it and found myself relating to some the characters!

Day 2:
I woke up pretty early, worked out, got ready for class, and then left class pretty early so I got home around 3:30ish and got to reading! [It's always a good time, when you find out you have more time than you actually thought:D] I finished Radio Silence. I think the latter part of the book really got me going, I was flipping through the pages fast, and the format of the book (short chapters) made it feel even faster. I enjoyed it, and now I'm just excited for my next TBR book! I think I will go with Station Eleven next:)

message 11: by Susy (new)

Susy (susysstories) Sounds like you both had a good reading day, Vivian and Sophia!

message 13: by Lizzy (new)

Lizzy Seitz (cookinggurl43) | 53 comments Day two I listened to 1.5 hours of the Breakdown by B.A. Paris and I read all of The Grim Grotto by Lemony Snicket

message 14: by BlurryBug (new)

BlurryBug | 357 comments Day 2: Finished the last 112 pages of Two Can Keep a Secret so good not perfect but quite the treat.
Read 70 pages of Rør ikke de som sover
Read 164 pages of Sour Heart
Amazing what you get time to when you just sit around waiting for a workmen to show. He showed at 1:40 pm wasn't done until closer to 3 pm.
Today I got work from 3:30 pm so hoping to get a few chapters in before that but I have a lot to do before work...

Vivian Wolkoff | 27 comments Day 3
Finished A Nordic King, read a couple more profiles on Lute como uma garota: 60 feministas que mudaram o mundo and read up to page 190 of Não Entre em Pânico.

Day 3:
Yesterday just right before going to sleep, I read the first 8 pages of The Silent Companions. But today I didn't read at all, even listening to the audiobook was too much to ask, I just was too tired.

message 17: by BlurryBug (new)

BlurryBug | 357 comments Day 3 reading: 40 pages of Persephone
Was a work day so there was just no time between chores and work..

message 19: by Key (new)

Day 1: Started Starworld by Audrey Coulthurst and read 56 pages
Day 2: Continued with Starworld, 81 pages
Day 3: Finished Starworld, 198 pages
