Space Opera Fans discussion

Some very good stories involve a character who uses an assumed identity. Sometimes this is for undercover police type work, sometimes espionage, frequently it’s to hide from either the law or assasins.

The Mageworlds series stars with The Price of the Stars by Debra Doyle. If memory serves most of the books have a coauthor named MacDonald. The main character is a hotshot female pilot. After her mother is assasinated, she disguises herself as a male assasin for hire to try to get a lead on who ordered her mother’s death. Very good series, and I’ll be rereading it in a month or two.

Daniel O’Malley 2 books about the “rook”. They are awesome

Doesn't look like the Daniel O'Malley books are space opera. Action takes place in current day London. This is more like urban fantasy.
