What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

there's a book i saw the cover for and read the blurb and regret not picking up! ahh! it was a red book with a tree on it think? i swear it was fantasy too, it's basically about children being sent away to grant the world or place fertile land and then they find out and start questioning it and things etc etc. Sorry for not much detail but if someone could help me find it, i'd be so grateful!! thank you!

What exactly do mean by "grant the world" and "place fertile land?"

it’s a kingdom, and they send the children off in ships to be granted fertile land in exchange

i saw it around three / four years ago and it’s either teen or adult fiction / fantasy

and i saw it in a book shop in the uk
