Have you been able to start this? I finished part one and expect to get a lot of reading done today.

So far I like this. I love dark stories so I (view spoiler)[ love the prison setting. I'm curious about how long they will keep Mira in isolation and whether that will break her. I think she's been doing quite well considering she's never had to do much to take care of herself. (hide spoiler)]

I would like to know (view spoiler)[ what it is that Mira found out that got her sent to prison. I guess the Luminary Council has been hiding something/lying about something but I'd like to know more. I'm a bit confused about Mira's role in the council. I guess she's not really a member but just a public figure who represents them. Maybe her parents are members. (hide spoiler)]

I am still at the beginning and haven’t reached the end of part one yet. You read fast lol. I like it so far. Not many books have characters like this so I’m glad to be reading it. So far so good.

Chapter 1
(view spoiler)[ I think she might had been sent to prison because in the beginning she clearly states that she doesn’t really like her position and she loves the dragons so I’m guessing she got in trouble because of that or the fact that she told the truth about her dragon powers I guess lol maybeeee. Yes, I agree that this book has quite unique characters, which is great!

And yes, I don't want to give too much away but (view spoiler)[ dragons do play a part in Mira getting in trouble. (hide spoiler)]

I just finished part two.

I wonder what (view spoiler)[ Tirta's role in the story will be. It's a bit too convenient how she's always in the same place with Mira. (hide spoiler)]

I really like the world building in this story. (view spoiler)[ I like it that all the islands have their own cultures and beliefs. The quiet code they use in Idris is interesting. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not sure why (view spoiler)[ Mira can't tell Altan about the noorstones that were sent to the empire. Wouldn't it be better if someone on the Fallen Isles knew about the dragons and the noorstones? I would think it a worse option if the empire just quietly got what they wanted. (hide spoiler)]

Part 3

I feel like (view spoiler)[ Mira is starting to find her voice. I'm happy she stood up for the Hartans instead of giving the speech the Luminary Council prepared for her. (hide spoiler)]

I'm starting to think (view spoiler)[ Mira has some ability to communicate with dragons or some kind of connection to them at least. She seems to be able to calm when no one else can. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 11

I just got into part two. It’s getting so good. (view spoiler)[ I kinda like when the author talked about Mira’s experience in the cell by herself for four days alone and in the dark. I felt so sorry for her and I just couldn’t believe Altan did that to her because she wouldn’t tell him where the dragons are. I think Mira is a dragon. Lol. That whole scene I low key that she turned into a dragon to get the water out of Aarou cell. I think that Tirta? Is such a good friend to her and I love the fact that she tried to make friends with her. Also, I want to hope that Altan would turn out to be a good guy though. I really hope like he has some sort of good backstory but this is sooooo good. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16

So I'm starting to feel sorry for what Mira is going through. Like I read when she told Altan about the dragons and at first I was like don't do it I would die for them dragons and that she needed to keep them safe just keep rationing on the food and don't give up. Plus he just wouldn't let her die if he wanted answers. I also thought when she told them about the dragons and he admitted to caring for them I was thinking why even be rude to her if you care. That doesn't make any sense.

I love how her and Aaru relationship is starting to grow. Hopefully, they get out soon since the new girl just came. but everyone is so mean and treat her like a child. I know she has anxiety but she tries.

Hahaha, I know. It doesn't (view spoiler)[ make sense for Altan to be so rude to Mira. Why couldn't he just tell her that they're working towards the same goal? (hide spoiler)]

Part 4

I kind of thought there is (view spoiler)[ more to Tirta's story than what she lets on. It was too convenient how she was always at the same place with Mira. (hide spoiler)]

So, (view spoiler)[ Mira can control the noorstones somehow. It's quite a coincidence that she and Aaru can both control them in one way or the other. The final battle was a little bit over the top for my taste, but other than that, I really liked this story. (hide spoiler)]

I had no clue absolutely no clue that Tirta was working for the Luminary Council. I love Aarou or however you spell his name's character. I liked how their relationship went. I loved this story and going to read the next book. (hide spoiler)]
