Oh my <3
I'm currently having a cold beer, finishing laundry and picking up my book that made me yelp on the train ride home from work.

I need to know what book made you yelp!
Drinking roasted cinnamon coffee and going through my physical books to find the ones I haven't read yet.

Yes, tell us what book made you yelp!
I am drinking Diet Pepsi and reading The Waiting. Tomorrow I plan to make a pie for Thursday,, which is Pi Day!

I'm bashful to say but its Scythe (Arc of a Scythe, #1) by Neal Shusterman which is above middle grade and encroaching on YA.. but the moral in this story is top notch.

Kia Kaha, Melissa!
I'm currently on the dregs of a can of Kirk's Pasito and wondering how on earth am I going to slog through the last 10% of Peter Straub's Ghost Story

Love and big hugs Mel, I'm having a glass of pinot noir (you're probably having your morning tea / coffee) and finding books to add to the ever growing TBR. Hope the news is good. Another Mel xx

Good luck!
Not drinking anything at the moment (it's almost 5 a.m. where I am and it's a work day).

It's morning, so I'm having the rest of my coffee and contemplating whether or not I can finish Ron Kelly's FEAR today. :)
I'll be back for a cocktail tonight. This is a great idea, Wendy!

Anyone mind if I just stretch out here with a glass of chardonnay and ignore the pile of laundry staring me in the face?

Let the laundry go another day and just relax with your chardonnay along with a good book! :)

Well have someone drop your laundry off to the laundromat and have someone else do it for you. I have done that once or twice so I didn't have to worry about it. :)
My heart goes out to New Zealand with this horrible act of terrorism in their country. Why can't we all get along?

Yeah, who needs that? Drink and read naked if you have to!

Yeah, my heart goes out to them too. It seems like intolerance is on the rise and it saddens me. Live and let live.
Cheers! Right now, i'm drinking bitter Frisian beer (Jever), listen to audio dramas based on the Jurassic Park movies, and started reading The Delicate Dependency: A Novel of the Vampire Life. Tomorrow, I'll start a buddy read of A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons.
I wouldn't mind if some IS assholes got killed, but probably, those people in New Zealand were just innocent bystanders, so the act is apparently quite stupid and despicable.

So far I got The Fisherman, Last Days, Strange Weather and The 4-Hour Workweek. Since I'm gone for a week I need three more, any suggestions (preferably books with about 300 pages)?

Sounds like you need a Kindle or some such thing. Less to carry.
And nice choice of Scotch!

LOL That would work well here when the temps are over 100. I've sat on the pool steps reading during the summer but only with a book I didn't care about getting wet.

Happy St Patrick's Day to you all!
Green beer will be served all day to those that have a stomach for it.
For myself, I prefer some nice Irish Whiskey.

No doubt! Some drinks do come back to "haunt" us the next day! lol

No green beer!
Can't deal with green pee the next day...

Irish coffees are good.

I've done that too! (Reading on the pool steps.)
Also, last year I found an inexpensive float that has a pillow and drink holders. BEST. THING.EVER!

I pretty much don't in the summer time! Other than work and taking my mom out on Saturdays, the pool is my home for 3 months of the year.

That's the best!
