Chains are four links long and can be combined in any number of ways, just use your imagination.

Link 1: Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie is set on a train

Link 2: Stamboul Train by Graham Greene - also set on a train

Link 3: Envy Envy (Empty Coffin, #1) by Gregg Olsen by Gregg Olsen - it has a green cover - a play on Graham Greene's name, with a set of twins whose last name is Ryan

Link 4: Holy Island (DCI Ryan Mysteries #1) by L.J. Ross - the Inspector's name is Ryan, the same name as the twins in Envy

How to participate:

Barbara K I’m thinking about this one. I realize I’m becoming obsessed with reading challenges because they always sound like so much fun. But a whole quarter to read four linked books doesn’t sound all that hard. And quite honestly, coming up with the links sounds like half the fun!

You can always do more than chain or make the chain longer.

Barbara K Sorry, I wasn't clear! I keep signing up for challenges that sound like fun (and so far have been), and I'm afraid I will become over-challenged. :-) With that said, I don't think I will be able to resist this one because it's such a clever idea, and it will only add 4 books over three months.

I know exactly what you mean. The first couple of years I participated on here I way over challenged myself and got discouraged. I'm enjoying the challenges this year but next year, no challenges, I'm just going to read as many books on my TBR list as I can.
