Each number corresponds with the spot on the board.
For colors: The cover has to be at least 50%
For locations: As long as the book takes part at all in the given location .
For Shelves: Any book on the given shelf
For Publication Years: I'll be using how GR has it's publication date listed.
For Authors Names: The first, middle, or last name of the author is ok.
For Cover Items: Must have the given item on the cover
For Titles: Only the first word of the title. A, An, And, and The do not count.
So if the letter is B: The Best Day would be ok. Dear Betty would not be ok.

for another name, how about the Six Pack? It seems like every romance book I read has a six pack on the cover :D

What about a captain? Any volunteers?

I am Danish, so I guess I am the only one in the group in the CET timezone. It is 5.54 pm right now.

If you could roll at soon as you could that would be great. I am usually waiting to start a book when it's time to roll.

I am enjoying this series about the witch Stella Mayweather. She is now living in US and still practicing how to do magic. She is being forced back to the UK. Here she finds more than she expects within The Brotherhood, the group that has hunted her for quite a while. luckilly she has good friends to help her.
Roll 1: Space 3

Book: Single White Vampire (Argeneau, Book 3) by Lynsay Sands
Finished: 9/1
Rating & Review: ★★★½.Lucern was so grumpy for a romance novel writer...He refused to go to book conventions, signings and meet the fans. His new editor, Kate Leever wasn't going to let Lucern Argeneau hide away. She hounded him with mail after mail until he finally agreed to one event.
Thus began Lucern's emergence into modern world.
I enjoyed this book because Lucern lived in a bubble with such old fashioned ideas. It was nice seeing Kate introduce him to modern society and open his mind a little. They worked well together. This series is still really light but I am still interested for now.

This book started off really good, but I kind of lost interest toward the end...possibly because I was trying to read it so fast. Like most of Hayder's books, this one was graphic and disturbing but with a good enough plot that it didn't bother me. I was hoping for more of an ending, but I still enjoyed it. I also like the addition of character Flea Marley, and hope to see her in the rest of the series. I did not like Caffery's last girlfriend!

Review:I truly love reading this series. Words fail me the expressing how much I've come to love this series. Ms. Gabaldon has created a fascinating and complex world that leaves little doubt about being swept away. I know it will be awhile until the next book I am content.

Review:
This was okay. It is a very light read. Chick lit with a cosy mystery (if you can call several murders cosy) thrown in. Heather works as an assistant dorm director in a college after her mother has run of with all the money Heather earned as a teen pop-idol. It had it's fun moments but it was also very repetitive
Week 1, Roll 2:
Space 8:
*Alternative Read: Book set in NY:
Book: Hearsay by Taylor Donovan
Finished: 9/5
Rating & Review: ★★½ maybe ★★★.
I had a very hard time getting into the flow of this story and I can't say I enjoyed it.
I didn't connect with Derrick Swain nor Roman Bradford, both attorneys working at Acosta, Bradford & Chadwick, LLP.
In this story, Derrick and Roman had some lunch dates and really connected with each other. Then boom, Roman cut everything off with Derrick with no explanation. The rumor mill at work went wild with stories of why, but either way Derrick had not direct answer from Roman.
When Derrick's best friend (and former homey lover friend) got accused of child molestation, Derrick asks his firm to take Tyler's case pro bono. When Roman takes lead on the case, he began exhibiting jealousy at Derrick and Tyler's closeness. But it's been a year since Roman cut him off, so why the glares? Derrick confronts Roman as to why he acts like he still wants him but won't explain why he ended things?
During the course of the case, Roman finally decides that he wants Derrick back, but will Derrick give him one once he learns what's going on with Roman?
One of the major issues was that it was clear what was going on with Roman, so I had to give Derrick the side eye. considering Derrick and his friends are constantly watching Roman, how could they not know? I also find the writing a tad boring. It just didn't flow and it wasn't emotional enough for my enjoyment.

I really liked this book! Once I got started, I could not put it down, and that is what I look for in a thriller. The plot was great, with a lot of twists and turns. Although I suspected who the killer was, I was never completely sure until the very end.
The best part about this book was definitely the portrayal of characters. I love detective novels, especially those with female detectives, but sometimes the characters seem so fake or they have these corny romances that get in the way of the plot. Ellie Hatcher is a likeable character and her relationship didn't piss me off...it actually seemed very authentic. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.
