Haha! Was innocently listening to The Vanishing Stair, and, as if to make up for inflicting an army of squirrels on me, one of the characters comments "I lost my sense of smell years ago"

ka-ching!

:)

Still need to find a home for Kindred, mind

Me too. Probably a lot of us have.
It’s a great book.😁

Thanks both! I already filled that spot.

Kindred had shelvings of speculative fic, so it went there.
This month isn't going to be maxed out on 100/50 pointers :(

Speaking of... Must work out my bonus books soon!

Alysa H. | 3840 comments LOL.
Well, just a suggestion for those of us who are online more during the week than on weekends: it would be awesome if the next tasks could go up by Thurs 4/18 or Fri 4/19 in the morning (I'm in EST)
:D

message 262: by Laura (new)

Laura | 9707 comments I think we look at it as more a surprise not suffering :D

message 263: by Laura (new)

Laura | 9707 comments You'd be surprised how many people are online on the weekends. Unfortunately, we can only do what real life allows us so as much as we appreciate your suggestion tasks are totally dependent on the availability of the mods.

message 264: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 5588 comments Well I was hoping for a week or a few days. Pretty please????

message 265: by Laura (new)

I looks like my S/S is linked to https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/1... on the master.

Can everyone please check to see your information is correct on the master spreadsheet and shout out ONLY if its incorrect (it helps if you tell us which category you are in) in case we missed anyone else?

You need to use the dropdown format for (at least) one of them: the formula is looking for Bonus / 2nd Bonus book to calculate the points

message 285: by Kaley (last edited Apr 15, 2019 10:34AM) (new)

Kaley (kaleyamo) | 1977 comments So, would you consider Mum's the Word to have a spring word in the title?

I wasn't sure since "mum's the word" is a common phrase where mum does not refer to the flower....but this book is a flower shop mystery, so it does *kind of* mean the flower because it's a pun.

message 286: by Allegra (new)

Allegra | 219 comments Not trying to pressure our Marvelous Mods, but I read mostly from the library and it is now less than a week and in these multi-culti parts, this week they're closed on Friday and Sunday. So any word on when the Month 2 tasks will come out? (Of course I could finish the book I pushed aside when it didn't fit anywhere and keep my fingers crossed.)
Also I'm still not clear if 4/21 counts as the last day of Month 1 or the first day of Month 2. Or is it up to each player?

message 287: by Mary X (last edited Apr 16, 2019 09:28AM) (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 5588 comments Allengra I have been fighting the urge to ask about month 2 tasks as well.

Also wondering about the 21st. I was planning to try and finish all my month 1 books by the 20th. but it would be nice to know if I have another day.

Alysa H. | 3840 comments There will probably be a countdown clock posted when the deadline gets closer but based on when we started, I’ve been assuming the change-over is in the morning (in Laura’s time zone) on the 21st. Which means that many of us will need to be done by the night of the 20th.

I guess it’s possible Mods will decide to give us *through* the 21st each month (on same time zone again), if that’s what seems most likely to be the case for the end of the 3rd round, looking ahead? In short, I guess I am just waiting for that countdown clock :D

Jade aka MrsTosh (mrstosh) | 787 comments Hi, just to clarify that I have signed up for Sapling but have actually managed to reach Bud level. Am I right in thinking that as long as I have one book out of each points category I can claim for Bud? And do I have to do Bud again next month? thanks in advance

☼♎ Carmen the Bootyshaker Temptress ☼♎ | 7238 comments Sorry for posting this late but I thought it was working correctly but apparently not :( It looks like my S/S isn't mine on the master sheet.

And my S/S is - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Hi Jade,
Yes, if you have one book for each point category you've met the requirements for "Bud". Yes, if you read for Bud this month then you read for that category each month. Shall we change you over?
