Let's share some of our favorite middle grade books, or ones your looking forward to!!

I really love middle grade fantasy
I thought Jessica Townsend's a Nevermoor, the trials of Morrigan Crow, was great.
I love City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab as well.

Olivia's Bookish Places & Spaces Middle grade is awesome! I really enjoyed "Gabby Lost and Found".

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) I am currently through 3 of 4 books of Django Wexler's The Forbidden Library series. It is solid and enjoyable with a strong female lead.

In a similar vein (both are middle-grade fantasy series written by established adult fantasy authors), Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians rocks and I am psyched for the final book.

Plus, both of these series feature libraries, so win-win!

Bri (spookyreadsbybri) Love some middle grade!

Some of my childhood favorites are The Field Guide (Spiderwick Chronicles)
Anything by John Bellairs & R.L. Stine

Ellen The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom (The League of Princes #1) So entertaining!

Yes!! I love the Keeper of the lost cities, I've read the first two but have yet to read the third. I've heard good things about the Blackthorn key but have not read it yet so I'll add it onto my tbr.

That's weird, I had no problem finding it at my local library...

Sound good, adding it to my tbr! Thanks for the rec

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) Another great one, published last year:

Property of the Rebel Librarian. Also library-themed, deals with the topic of book banning. It could be very inspiring to young book lovers.

Jahnvi (jahnvi1218) A library related good one isEscape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) I'm starting a group read of the Percy Jackson series this summer, and holy shamoly these books are still so popular! My library has about 10 physical copies of each book in the series and they are almost all checked out! Not to mention the e-books and other formats. I had no idea the kids were still loving this so intently over a decade later. It's the same for Harry Potter going on 22 years now.

I'm so happy that these books are so popular! Percy Jackson is just such a fantastic series that never gets old.

The Magnus Chase trilogy (The Sword of Summer is the first book) is also wonderful, and has tons of diverse characters.

Sam Chase (hernameisam) One of my favorite authors as a middle-grade reader was Gail Carson Levine. I especially loved Fairest and Ella Enchanted. She writes such strong female characters while also setting her books in that beautiful fantasy world that so many young girls (me included!) love.

I also adore the The Frog Princess series! Again, a strong female character, adorable romance, and fun plot line.
