Ryan This book was an all around a great read with few uncertainties with some murky text, however the content the novel provided was honestly out of this world and provided some great conflicts and discussions that were presented in class. I highly recommend this book/series to those who enjoy science fiction mixed with emotional and moral lessons in order to determine was is the right answer to certain situation and to determine what is the right decision when it comes to serious situations that there does not seem to be an actual "right" answer

I agree Ryan, this book and the two sequels are great reads. They mix an exciting science fiction action thread with a more thoughtful moral discussion thread. The sequels lean more towards the moral dilemma side of the clash of cultures and races.
I read them many years ago and have returned to them several times.
