The Spectacular Now by Tim Tharp

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

Story of a Girl by Sara Zarr

Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

Hope I helped a little bit :)

The Time Keeper
Give a Boy a Gun
I can't think of more right now, sorry :/

The Catcher in the Rye
And I need to have a look at home tonight for more books as I can't seem to be able to remember anything!

You also might opt for short stories such as The Murders in the Rue Morgue by Poe.
1) I highly recommend Audio books! You can listen to a book while doing other "life" things like driving or folding laundry. I've quadrupled my yearly books read by adding audio books to my life.
2) Consider adding some plays to your book diet. A great writer like Wilde or Ibsen can make for a very satisfying read.

The Bear
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe / The Magician's Nephew
Looking for Alaska
The Perks of Being a Wallflower

I'd recommend any of the Sherlock Holmes books. While they may be slightly longer, they are highly readable and can be done in short bursts. I'll try get back to you with some more ideas.
And I heartily agree with Renee on adding some plays to your reading list. They're really easy to get through. I just read Medea by Euripides and it's only 40 pages, and packs a punch. Other recommendations are anything by Oscar Wilde and Tom Stoppard.

Ella Minnow Pea - it's short to begin with, and half the pages are only half-pages! It's also an excellent, excellent read.

So I need your help fellow goodreaders - help me complete the challenge of reading 100 books by December, despite unsurmountable odds and lack of time.
I need you to recommend me 90 books worth reading preferably in the 200 page range, but definitely no longer than 300 pages, and I promise to read them!
They only have to be good, and they only have to be short!
Please, please help me, and I promise there will be cake :)
