Jennifer | 3006 comments Hey peeps! It is approaching the end of the month and I don't want those skips to go to waste this time. Which categories do you think we should use them for?

I was thinking: mentions lifeguard, author 1st name same as your middle name, and either flip flops on the cover or art on the cover. What do you guys think?

message 302: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Definitely lifeguard and 1st name since they were so hard the first time around. How many skips do we get?

message 303: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments we only get 3

message 304: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Okay. I think the 3rd should be flipflops, since that new list Felicia posted has a lot of art books.
Anyone else have opinions?

Up to you guys but I already have a book picked out for 1st name the same as your middle name. I just haven't gotten to it yet. Too many migraines lately.

message 306: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments So then maybe lifeguard, flip flops and art?

message 307: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
That's fine with me

message 308: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
I have one for art, so maybe pick another one.

message 309: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Okay great! What about the war/military tag?

message 310: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
I don't have anything for that, so it might be good to use as a skip

message 311: by Donna (new)

Donna (dkflynn33) | 949 comments i don't have anything for that either. Totally not my thing.

message 312: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments I have nothing as well. :)

message 313: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments Does anyone have a tropical location covered? That one took us a while too.

message 314: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments Does Spain/Italy count?

message 315: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
I don't have one right now

message 316: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments I'm not sure about Spain, but I don't think Italy is very tropical. Maybe ask for clarification on the Q&A page?

message 317: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 9905 comments KK. I will do so after I plan for June. I also have to confirm it was Spain. I can't remember I just know it was set in Europe in general and she moved around a bit.

message 318: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
yeah, the tropical one is hard. It might be a good candidate for a skip.

message 319: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
If I put a BOTM into the spreadsheet, should I triple the points manually or ask a mod to do it?

message 320: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
I've just left mine and the MOD adds the points

message 321: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
Ok, thanks

message 322: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments The romance I just finished mentioned a lifeguard - yay! So we can use our pass on something else. What about the seasonal/floral name?

message 323: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments We only have a few more days left in May.

Since we've knocked out a couple of the tough categories, I'd like to suggest using our passes for:

1) set in a tropical location
2) seasonal/floral named character
3) J-U-N-E in title (I don't have anything with a "J" in the title planned, do you?)

The minute June hits, we get another 3 passes.

message 324: by Donna (new)

Donna (dkflynn33) | 949 comments sounds good to me

I am bit behind in my reading but I do have 1 that I haven't posted and 1 I hope to finish tonight.

Those skips work for me! I'll have one more BOTM done by the end of the week

message 326: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Those are fine with me!

message 327: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Hey, I just started a book where the female MC is named Rosie. Do you think that will count for a floral name?

message 328: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
Definitely. We can use that skip for something else

message 329: by Felicia (new)

Felicia | 15003 comments Aly wrote: "Hey, I just started a book where the female MC is named Rosie. Do you think that will count for a floral name?"

That's fine my dear. :D

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Yay! Maybe we can do the war/military category instead?

Jennifer | 3006 comments Aly wrote: "Yay! Maybe we can do the war/military category instead?"

We finished that one yesterday

message 332: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Title that rhymes?

message 333: by Donna (new)

Donna (dkflynn33) | 949 comments I was hoping to have one for that but the book I requested has a wait list. Hopefully I will have it for round 3.

message 334: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments Ok, so 1) set in tropical location, 2) title that rhymes, and 3) JUNE in title.

Sounds good to me.

message 335: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
Perfect

message 336: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments Ok, I just realized that one of the books that I'm about 1/4 done with is set in Florida - having lived there it is definitely a tropical location.

How about we do Felicia's favorites instead. The darn girl needs to have more favorite books! Frankly, I'm appalled she has so few (winking at you Felicia!)! I've already read most of them and I don't see any on our sheet that we could move to that category. What do you think?

message 337: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
That's fine with me

message 338: by Felicia (new)

Felicia | 15003 comments LMFAO. Sorry! I just don't add any to that shelf! Lololol.

If y'all read any of the books from the ones I mentioned on my profile I'd accept them too. That gives you a few more to choose from. (: Bahahaha.

message 339: by Felicia (new)

Felicia | 15003 comments Anything SJM, Leigh Bardugo, Marie Lu, that I rated 5 stars is fine too. (:

message 340: by Felicia (new)

Felicia | 15003 comments OH! Any of the Badd books! I don't remember who I BR them with. But I'd take them too! They're on Overdrive. I think?

message 341: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 28932 comments Mod
I need to read the Badd books!!

message 342: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments Ok, well Felicia has rated a bunch of books at 5 stars, so maybe we shouldn't use our pass for that.

Should we go back to flip flops?

message 343: by Donna (new)

Donna (dkflynn33) | 949 comments i have been looking and found nada for flip flops.

message 344: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments I found an audio book for it, but I'm really not looking forward to listening to it - I'd much rather pick one of Felicia's 5 star books, ya know?

message 345: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
Then let's use the last pass on flip flops. I only see two in the spreadsheet, and we get 3 right?

message 346: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3006 comments yes, we get 3

message 347: by Saige (new)

Saige (lannister807) | 3847 comments Mod
Cool, so flip flops can be the last one. I'm putting a few planned books in that I will get done in the next week because they cover some difficult categories

Too bad they're not on the romance package, I'm swamped with Kindle books right now but I'll try to get to them.

Does a cyborg count as a robot?
