I'm about 60% into this and I'm glad I read the other 3 books first. This one is quite vague on world building. We're learning about the world of Vampires and warlocks and such as Tessa does which I'm finding excruciatingly slow. Had I started this prequel first it would be one of those books that stay on my "currently reading" shelf for 3 years and never actually finished. I'm hoping once the plot circles back around I'll get sucked into it more.
