I have a friend who thrives on sensory input and used to ALWAYS listen to music while reading.

The music needs to match the feel and setting of the book though. My go-to sensory flush is the sound of rain (I love www.rainymood
.com) but even that does not always work with every book... like the beach side chic book I'm reading right now.

I also played my Miranda Lambert playlist through my bluetooth speaker in the mid-afternoon.
I enjoy listening to classical/instrumental music most often when I read.

One of the albums I listened to during the readathon was Landfall, by Laurie Anderson & the Kronos Quartet. There are a few spoken word tracks, but they are almost soothing in tone.

I agree Shelley about YouTube. I am a heavy user of YouTube.
Also I have Pandora and Spotify.
I can re sign up JazzRadio app.
I may be leaning toward some mid-century cool jazz vibes, very low.

Miley Cyrus 'Mother's Daughter'
Jennie 'Solo'

As is usually the case, my mood generally guides my soundtrack. Anything from classical, heavy metal, country, pop etc... I use YouTube, Spotify,Stingray, local & online radio as well as a variety from our personal collections. There’s always music playing here.
Last couple of years I have become more and more dependent on silence when reading. The world has become too silent for me, so I will try some cool jazz turned down into ambient sound level. See what happens. . . .Could help/Could not.
