The One discussion

soooooo....kiera announced that two more books are going to be made to add to the selection series. if you havent heard, the video is posted on her website http://www.kieracass.com/ . she says that they will not be in Americas point of view any longer. do you think it will be a newly introduced character or maybe a character we already know? any opinions or ideas?

WHAT. OMG.

Well, they better be better than The One, because (no hate please) I thought that was a terrible book. Hmm her website says "The Heir", so perhaps it'll be from (gasp) Maxon's POV, or maybe Maxon and America's children (o.o)?

i'm pretty sure it's the Queen and the Heir - so that would be good - although i don't know what The Heir will really be about. i love that there's another novella or 2 coming out. while i loved the story, i feel like the ending was really abrupt, and given that one will be the Queen, it's not that it'll be anything new, it's just going to give us more depth to the story of a character that we only started to get to know towards the end.

OMG I WANT!!!!!!! *FANGIRLING* I actually loved The One, but that's what I thought. it was amazing and I NEED MORE from Kiera Cass

im really anxious because we have to wait for summer 2015 but i hope they are as good as the first three books

The one was may fave out of all 3 books but i wanted her to end up with Aspen. But it is pretty obvious with her fancy wedding dress on the cover that she ends up with Maxon.

OMG ME TOO!! i thought i was the only one who wanted her with Aspen! he always wanted what was best for her and always put her before himself.

Oh, come on. I didn't want more books. Everything got wrapped up in The One. This storyline is going to be tacked on and inferior.

Oh no, everything end so well, i'm sure that more books will be a disaster. I mean, for me the books must leave a space for imagination of one, i liked what i figured in the end.

Totally! But at least he ended up with Lucy! I was not expecting that Lucy and Aspen would end up together! But i'm glad it happened!

i know!!!! im glad aspen didnt have to grieve over america choosing maxon. im glad lucy was there for him in the end and all that matters is that everyone was happy.

The whole point of the series is to see who she ends up with. Stretching it out even more is just wasteful.

We're saying that although other stuff happened in the world, and other stuff WILL happen in the world, it's not the point of the story. The point was The Selection and everything else will be tacked on.

I see what your saying. But she added those to make the story more interesting! I mean wouldn't it be so boring just talking about America and Maxon?

Yes, of course. But you said it yourself. These things are side plots. The main story is over. And although I will read these books because they WILL probably have some interesting details, they will be the beginning of a new thing. And that almost never works out. Examples. Patterson's Witch and Wizard. Patterson's Maximum Ride. The second Hunger Games.

That makes no sense. I'm mad that she's writing them. It's a plea for more money. She already wrapped up the main storyline. But being obsessed with this series, I'm going to check them out. And probably hate them.

I know!!!! What's your fave book out of the three? Mine's book 1.

My favourite book out of the three is probably book 3, THE ONE, because that's when America and Maxon finally gets to be together in the end.

Some people think that the entire series is about the love triangle but I think it's about so much more than that and I'm excited to read more about illea besides just America being indecisive and procrastinating a simple decision.
