Jonel In this thread you can ask recommendations from your fellow readers. Just let us know what you're looking for, be it a certain genre, something similar to another book or author you've read, or a new author to try out. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll all give you our recommendations.

Katie Burke (katiekate98) I'm looking for some books to review on my blog for the end of September. What are some good ones?

message 5: by Katie (new)

Katie Burke (katiekate98) I'm thinking about saving the major paranormal/horror for next month, but anything. Preferably what I can find at the library since I am broke.

Laura For 2015, I decided to choose Stephen King as my author of the year. I will be reading one book a month by him.

*I have already read 11/22/63 and The Stand

I plan to read:
The Shining
Salem's Lot
Pet Sematary
Gerald's Game
The Green Mile
Carrie
Bag of Bones
Skeleton Crew
Doctor Sleep

What are your favorites by him? I still need to choose 3 more. Thanks!

**Updated with suggestions

Good luck Laura. Wish I had some suggestions but I fully admit that I'm a chicken and only read King once in a blue moon, and then, only in the middle of the day.

Dolores, Doctor Sleep, Christine, The Tommyknockers and The Mist. The hubby has read some and loves them. Me not so much I have to hide books in the freezer if they get too scary. :-)

And Doctor Sleep?

message 15: by Laura (new)

Laura Thanks for even more recommendations! Doctor Sleep...definitely sounds creepy and since it is book two that goes along with The Shining, I have to add that one to my list.

Maeve | 15 comments Suggestions? I'm planning to read some light contemporary novels to kick off the summer. Maybe something by Sarah Dessen or P.S. I Still Love You or something cute like Anna and the French Kiss Thanks!

Jade (jadesophiee) | 4 comments Recently I've finished (and really enjoyed) The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, and also A Tale for The Time Being by Ruth Ozeki. Does anyone have any recommendations of books they think I'd enjoy based on my enjoyment of those? Doesn't have to be similar in plot, but maybe even writing style/genre etc. Thank you!

I'd check out All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, I saw similarities to The Book Thief while reading. The writing is more poetic, if you don't like the writing style you won't like the book, but it's very similar pacing wise and focusing on the lives of two children (and their loved ones) during WWII.

Hi Jasna, I know that this is way super late, but I just saw your post. If you liked Naruto, you might enjoy One Piece or Bleach. I also just recently started the Soul Eater series and am enjoying it.
