This is sad. I have enjoyed lots of Apex titles, including the recent Witch Compedium story.

Apparently it's an increasing trend. I just found out that another semiprozine, Shimmer Magazine, is also on hiatus. It's one of the Hugo nominees for 2019. I only read three stories so far but all of them are good.

Sad to know, they had some good stuff over the years

Re: Shimmer, apparently 2018 is their final year, so it's not even hiatus but worse. The announcement was back in mid year 2018:

Their Twitter account is still very active though.

Mary Robinette Kowal was their former art director.

I think I will just vote for them, as it is their last year anyway.

This is unfortunate -- hopefully not a trend!
