I have been troubled all along by the case of Jane Mixer and the scrambled DNA evidence that led to the conviction of Gary Leiterman. How was the DNA of a second person who was 4 years old at the time of the crime -- and in possession of a perfect alibi -- found on Jane's nylons? If he didn't kill Jane, is Leiterman innocent too?
And now here's another one. This guy was tied to a cold case in Spokane by DNA but then his defense attorney pointed out that the guy was stationed in South Korea at the time of the crime:
