What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

Hope this is in the right place. I’m baffled right now.

It starts with 3 girls they go somewhere in the country for summer break before they go off to uni and discover a wing or something in a lake then they go to this house where men have been working on it they break in and get caught and over hear some strange going ons. One of the girls goes off with one of the men which are from out of space I think and ends up in space and there’s like 2 queens fighting each other over some science I think?
