EVERYONE Has Read This but Me - The Catch-Up Book Club discussion

I was planning to read this when I saw it was longlisted for the 2019 Wellcome book prize so I will definitely be joining in to read it this month. I have no idea how I will get on with it as memoirs can be a bit hit or miss for me, but I am interested to find out.

I managed to somehow jump way ahead in line at the library and got this book yesterday after only having it on hold for a week. I look forward to reading this with everybody!

I managed to get it in audio, which is how most of my reading happens these days. I'll be joining in the conversation and looking forward to it.

I have the physical copy but also managed to nab the audio through my library so I have no excuse not to read it!

I'm planning to read along this month.

There has been a lot of buzz around this memoir, and I'm glad it's been picked so we can discuss what all the hype's about.

I read it last month and it's terrific. I had some preconceived notions about it, and it turned out to be very different than I expected. It's thought provoking, and I'm looking forward to some deep discussions! It's very good on audio. I'm glad I splurged on the audible because it's worth rereading in the future.

I listened to the first couple of hours on audio this morning on my walk to work and so far am really enjoying it! I didn't have any sort of expectations to be honest, but so far I am really drawn in by her story.

I am about one third of the way through. It took me a little while to get into it but now I look forward to picking it up again each time. The writing is quite straightforward so not too heavy.

A life-changing book! Excellent read.

I'm about 1/2 way through and can hardly put it down.

I have picked this up several times to read and left it.. So am gonna make a last ditch effort to read it this time...

Ordered the book, hope it arrives before I finish my current book

This has been on my to read list since early last year. I've put it off, waiting for the hype to die down and hoping it would end up as one of our monthly reads. I'm excited to start it (as soon as I finish the audio book currently residing in my car stereo). It sounds like a book that could make for great discussion.

I am about a 4 week wait on the library so it might be at the tail end of the month or next month but am looking forward to the read.

I have never heard of this book before and it is not the normal genre or style that I would normally enjoy. However, I will be giving it a go this month and hope to enjoy it - if that is the right word in this case!

Finished the book, I enjoyed it. Felt it was well written, my only reservations so far surround the authenticity of the memoir.

I really liked this book. It's different from other books I've read this year. It's a memoir, and it's not predictable like many novels. I know I'll want to reread it because it works on different levels.

For anyone waiting for a library copy, I think this is a book that is worth owning. I'm very stingy when it comes to buying books, and my library card gets a lot of use, so I don't say that lightly. I got the audible because I could return it if I didn't like it. I wish though that I also had a hard copy to share with friends.

I wasn't going to read this book any time soon because I didn't really know what it was about and I also had enough other books planned for this year, but after reading the description I will definitely be reading it this month! It's sounds so interesting and I have never read anything like that before, so it should be fun.

Getting a late start on this book. I hope I can finish it relatively soon and participate in the discussion!
