I saw that you openly solicit people to query you regarding book reviews, so I hope you don't mind if I do the same. I am Kiran Bhat. I am an Indian-American polyglot, traveler, and writer. I have traveled to over 130 countries, lived in 18 different places, and speak 12 languages. I try to use my lifestyle and perspective as a means to create globalised works of literature. I'm in the middle of a book tour, but have realized that I have done very little work to get reviews of my work onto the Internet; I am trying to fix this now. Would any of you guys be interested in reviewing my novel, we of the forsaken world...?
In a distant corner of the globe, a man journeys to the birthplace of his mother, a tourist town destroyed by an industrial spill. In a nameless remote tribe, the chief’s second son is born, creating a scramble for succession as their jungles are being destroyed by loggers. In one of the world’s sprawling metropolises, a homeless one-armed woman sets out to take revenge upon the men who trafficked her. And, in a small village of shanty shacks connected only by a mud-and- concrete road, a milkmaid watches the girls she calls friends destroy her reputation.
we of the forsaken world…, published by Iguana Books on January 22nd, 2020, is structured as a linguistic chain comprising the accounts of 16 people, connected along subtle lines, who indirectly witness these four narratively and geographically diverse central storylines. The story flows and recombines like digital connectivity, throwing into question pre-21st century assumptions about narrative logic and, I hope, embodying the way in which modern communication unites this planet every second, everywhere.
If you are interested in reading it, you can get a copy on amazon (https://www.amazon.com/we-forsaken-wo...), or I will happily send you a review copy if you pm me. Just let me know what works for you.
Best wishes,
Kiran

I love R and Ring new authors but only if they read the rules in my profile regarding my R and Rs. Thank you.

If your interested I would love to have you review my horror novel In the Shadows. Set in modern day New York City it is written in a gritty noir style; corrupt city, cynical police detective and monsters!
From the back cover:
"New York City detective Al Russo is a walking cliché and he knows it. His obsession with his job and the adrenaline rush it brings has led to a failed marriage and a taste for alcohol.
Detective Russo is called to investigate, what appears to be, a simple traffic accident that resulted in the death of a homeless person. However Al uncovers evidence that things may not be as they seem. His suspicions appear to be confirmed when he is confronted one night by a shadowy figure claiming the accident was actually murder. The figure threatens violence unless the perpetrators are delivered to him to extract vengeance.
The threats are followed by several unspeakable acts of savagery that are meant to send a message. A police operation hastily organized and executed to apprehend the person responsible for the violence ends in bloodshed and death.
Detective Russo now finds himself alone, tracking an ancient enemy of man long since dismissed as legend. He must put his own life in danger and betray everything he believes in an attempt to prevent further bloodshed that would result in the deaths of tens of thousands."
If your interested I would be happy to send you a paperback.
Thanks for listening,
Larry

Thanks so much for putting this offer out there for us! I have a collection of short stories you may be interested in. There are 6 stories, 4 of which are scifi/dystopian, 1 superhero(ish), and 1 fantasy(ish). Only 73 pages, so they could probably be read in an hour or so. Here is the Amazon blurb:
A cloned child questions his origins with a prejudiced stranger. A scavenger reminisces in a scorched wasteland on what exactly scorched the wasteland. A poster child for a meat-free society smells a steak and asks a few too many questions. A certain sheriff triumphs (temporarily) over a certain outlaw archer. A college kid can fly but is scared of heights. In a followup to the opening story, clone soldiers banter about the meaning of life.

Would you be interested in reading my new book A Hymn of Death? It would be a pleasure if you were) It is a book that will surely leave you reeling and grappling for more as the characters are slowly cemented into you emotions page by page.
Here is a short description:
In a poetic swirling of misery and death, the past and present are weaved together like a tapestry, telling the tale of a man drowning in his memories while searching the present for the death the fallen world of infection had forgotten to give him… and in the end finding hope and the redemption he thought he’d lost so many years before.
As though the heavens had called up all the saints and left behind only the wretched and rotten, Ralph Yale now spends his days hiding away alone in the cold desolate mountains, wrestling with a God that left him behind in a world of chaos where evil men run rampant like rabid dogs and the innocent are slaughtered like sheep. The night torments him as dreams of a loving past and those he lost fill his head, and he grips to them like holding the blade of a knife. By day he spends his time shoveling snow, maintaining his cabin, and speaking with the only other life he’s deemed worthy in the world, his dog. But hope and redemption finally comes when he stumbles upon a blind girl stranded in the forest, and just like the mingling of water and wine, their paths are drawn together until the bitter end.
Thanks,
Ben

Comment, message, or email me at [email protected] if interested in a free PDF copy in exchange for your honest review! This is the third book in a spy series, however, the first two books do not need to be read to get into the story. Each book has a stand-alone case to solve, so you won't get lost starting here.

Synopsis:
Twenty-two year old Faith Evans is a former special agent for the Real Life Immersion Program, an organization that the FBI calls upon in the midst of unsolvable cases. After being betrayed by RLIP, she decides to cut ties with them permanently and move on to a normal life. So when she’s asked to return to the agency to help with a difficult case, her immediate answer is no. However, she soon discovers that the case involves the kidnapping of her former partner's teenaged grandson, Paul Spencer. There’s no way she can stay away and sit quietly.
Paul was being groomed to become a future tech agent, but having computer hacking skills of his caliber at such a young age may have exposed him to a dangerous cybercrime ring that wants to use him for something life shattering. The agency suspects that Paul’s computer club classmates may have been the associated link. Faith is the only agent young enough to pass as a high school student and must befriend Paul’s classmates to find out what’s going on. But when politicians suddenly get involved, this case may be far more twisted and dangerous than she initially realized. On top of everything else, RLIP seems to be attempting to recruit Faith's new husband, Ashton Mathis, into the agency.

Brief Syponsis:
It’s been said, if you were to start your own business, chances of you returning to prison were slim. So, the S-man did just that. On the road to success, and eager for a brighter future, he wound up doing those same things that he'd vowed never to do never do again. The business of transporting, and smuggling goods across state lines is what gives him a continuous amount of motivation. But everybody knows, behind every good man there’s a good woman, and he believes the love of his life keeps him on track.
Those long, lonely days in prison were used meeting contacts and setting things up for the future. While others thought he was wasting his time, he knew otherwise. His charismatic ways have always attracted the right people in his life. From the woman he wants to marry one day, all the way down to gathering resources and planning his life like a professional chess player.
In the beginning, though, it was rough for him, adjusting to freedom after so many years in prison. B kept him up to date with all the happenings, the funerals, who came home and who went in. He cherished those 20-minute phone calls. So did the others, separated from their families. It’s a billion-dollar business that he didn’t care for, promising himself never to see the inside of a prison cell again.
B had bad vibes and had told him so the first night he’d spent at her apartment. Of course, having her man back meant everything, but she hoped that he’d changed, and would have his mind on positive things.

My Foreign Master’s Degree- When Dreams Encounter Realism, Miracles Happen (Book by Parul Bhatia)

Maybe you'd like to review my new book (Woman's fiction), Pride and Intentions. The book finally came out yesterday. If you like books like The Notebook and Pride and Prejudice, I’m sure you’ll like this book. A novel about great love that only happens once in a lifetime and lasts forever.
An unofficial guide to love and trust
A romantic story and family drama,
A tale about female strength... Set in beautiful castles in the middle of the twentieth century, this is a story about Doris Rose the daughter of an English oligarch who cannot forget the poor young man who stole her heart a long time ago when her parents forcefully separated them.
But love has the power to turn the dark tragedy of their past into a miracle.
Reborn as one of the richest men in England, the former poor boy from her childhood returns to the lives of her parents ...
Morally marred by lies, deception and secrets from her parents ’distant past, the former mistress of Magnolia Castle, Doris Rose, is forced to abandon her wealth and become an ordinary girl from the suburbs.
She blames the very man she secretly loves for her misfortune.
Is the love stronger than hatred? Is love stronger than wealth?
How will the turbulent relationship between the oligarch’s daughter and the poor thief of her heart end? Are they ready to put everything at stake for the sake of love?
Doris Rose tells us this story as an old lady. It is a tale about the power of a woman; about her strength to defeat everything that can break her heart; how every woman can become strong,
confident, independent and able to recognize true love.
An edifying story that will make you believe in love that is maybe right in front of your eyes even if you haven’t learned to recognize it yet.

Regarding your kind offer, I have a novel VICES/VIRTUES that has been well-reviewed by both KIRKUS and IndieReader.
https://www.amazon.com/Vices-Virtues-... (Though I read on your profile you don't have an ereader so I can send a physical copy) Here is the description:
On the surface, VICES/VIRTUES it is about Cristela Davila, a bright young woman who works at a real estate office by day and moonlights at a professional S/M dungeon at night. However, the intertwining stories explore a wide range of topics. American poverty is placed at the forefront as Cristela, inheriting her mother's welfare shame, goes to great lengths to hide her own status as a welfare recipient from her college friends. Race is relative, as Justine, the daughter of a Kenyan heiress and Italian nobleman, is deemed as "white" by her Kenyan side of the family. Agency is shown as Daisy, a daughter of the Florida backwoods, devices a clever way to free herself from abuse. Exploring the interacting lives of this diverse group of women via a series of vignettes, VICES/VIRTUES highlights how very universal the seemingly unconventional can be.
Hope you're interested!

I prefer histfic or scific, or history, but I will read just about anything. If you're an author looking for a review (or more... and no, I don't mean in a dirty way! ;) ) come on down and check out my profile and reviews. Have a wonderful day!
ETA: If you're interested, please DM me instead of commenting here.
Update as of Nov 2021 - I had comments on my reviews enabled so that anyone could comment on them, but somehow - whether through some GR update, or my own mistake, I had DMs unknowingly limited to friends only. I have just changed this option so that anyone, friend or not, can DM me. Have a great day!
