This thread is where you can chat about all things PIFM, ask questions and once books have been read, review your selected reads. A complete free for all.

PLEASE NOTE:

PIFM is meant to be FUN and not to be taken seriously. I would appreciate it if all participants just chilled and not get worked up about voting, who votes, who doesn't, etc. Please bear in mind that some will just want to vote, many don't come on everyday and most of us have time constraints. I just want a relaxed approach to it all and for you all to just enjoy the process! I'd really appreciate your courtesy in this matter. Many thanks.

@Melanie I am trying to do that too. I have over 120 books on my kindle that need reading. Some of them I don't even remember getting!

Patricia Bergman (marshop) | 1229 comments Vickie, I can relate to your kindle book list. I looked at mine and was shocked at the number of books there.

message 11: by Perri (new)

Perri | -43 comments Vicki, that's interesting you didn't like Nine Perfect Strangers. Have you liked any other Moriarty books? The ones I've read I've really liked

Dana (dkmckelvey) | 623 comments Not surprised in this group that The Stranger Beside Me: Ted Bundy: The Shocking Inside Story has pulled out way ahead... has anyone seen the new movie on Netflix about Ted Bundy??

message 14: by Perri (new)

Perri | -43 comments Tonya, The Onion Field arrived at my library, so I'm ready when you are!

Dana, I've seen the TEd Bundy Tapes-is that the one you mean? I also see there's something called Extremely Wicked-not sure that's about Bundy but the actor sure looks like him

message 15: by Tonya (new)

Tonya (tonyasmith) | 693 comments I will have to recheck it out maybe tomorrow

message 19: by Perri (new)

Perri | -43 comments Tonya. terrific! I just read two chapters and captivated so far.

Kirsten, I see I could buy it on Amazon. Maybe my library could borrow it for me. I see one with TEd Danson from 2015, but I bet you're thinking of the one with James Wood that apparently launched his career

Yeah, the one I'm thinking of had James Wood and Willem DaFoe.

message 21: by Vicki Willis (new)

Vicki Willis @Perri I have really enjoyed the ones I have read (I think 3 of them). Nine Perfect Strangers sounded so good to me too. The idea of something going on at a wellness center is right up my alley. But, for me it went nowhere and I thought it just fell flat. So I am always interested to hear how/why someone liked it.

@Dana The Netflix on Bundy was excellent. I have read some books and seen some shows, but that was one of the best ones out there.

message 22: by Tonya (new)

Tonya (tonyasmith) | 693 comments Perri, I will start our book tomorrow along with The Silkworm. If anyone wants to join.

message 23: by Tonya (new)

Tonya (tonyasmith) | 693 comments Perri, Im on chapter 2 so far.I will keep you updated on my progress.

Hi there I’m reading silkworm and coffin dancer too, I’ve finished fractured. May I buddy read with you? I understand if not. How do I find you on Fiction Fact?

message 27: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (meldoc) | 634 comments I went to FictFact to find you all and it says FictFact has been closed due to an infraction of Amazons Terms and they have lost their appeal😯

message 28: by Tonya (new)

Tonya (tonyasmith) | 693 comments Sure Melanie, I'm starting The Silkworm now. Hopefully I will get some progress on it today. After we finish it then The Coffin Dancer. I haven't read Triptych or Fractured yet? I just checked fictfact also and its closed now I knew all my series. I wonder if there is another site that does the same thing.

message 29: by Tonya (new)

Tonya (tonyasmith) | 693 comments Sure Melanie. I'm just starting The Silkworm. Hopefully get some progress in today. Then we are doing The Coffin Dancer. I haven't read Will Trent 1&2 yet.
I went to fictfact and its closed. Now I need my series. I wonder if there is another site that was like that one to help us keep up with them.
If anyone knows of any let me know please.

Sophie | 1126 comments @ Perri
Very interesting. I saw on the cover it was described as Ghost meets The Matrix and it's a pretty accurate description. I liked that both MCs were FBI agents and so the female MC wasn't looking to the guy to save the day. I can see why it was commissioned to be made into a movie.

message 31: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (meldoc) | 634 comments Hello again everyone. Kristen I’m sorry I didn’t get to the Buddy Read for Assassin's ApprenticeMy life has been beyond crazy busy over the last few months. Unfortunately busy with some sad things and although I’ve escaped here and there into books, I haven’t been the most organized. As we head into spring I’m hoping things are going to be more predictable.

Tonya...I can start The Silkworm today. Is there a Buddy Read Thread started somewhere? Please direct me to it thanks. Hopefully I want be a wet blanket and forget like I did with Assasain.

I’m finally reading Orphan Train Girl Orphan Train Girl by Christina Baker Kline , you all voted for it months ago but I needed to wait for a coy from the library. It is EXCELLENT. I highly recommend it.

I believe its Career of Evil

message 50: by Vicki Willis (new)

Vicki Willis I started Triptych Triptych (Will Trent, #1) by Karin Slaughter today. I have heard so many good things about this series.
I am listening on audible and am not sure about the narrator yet. Also, Will Trent and the cop Michael O (however you would spell it) are not grabbing me yet. I am only an hour or two in though, so I am sure it will get better.
