What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I recall reading and borrowing the book in 2000/1999. The book has children staying with their Aunt and Uncle, and they (siblings?) discovered that they could share/borrow the bodies of the animals that live in the forest (?). The Aunt was pregnant and later gave birth.

That's all I remembered. Would appreciate greatly if anyone could help.

I think I may have read this.

Did it have a scene where a girl enters the body of a bird of prey, and catches and eats a mouse? Later she is disgusted by the experience and wants to be vegetarian?

I believe it's the Magician's House series by William Corlett which begins with The Steps Up the Chimney. It was a TV series as well in the UK.

Oh, that's the one I was thinking of (which is funny because I was going to start my own thread to identify the book!) But I don't know if it's the one Noodles wanted?
