Essential Beginnings is the first book in a series that is taking place during the eruption of the super-volcano formerly known as Yellowstone National Park. There are, I think 4 books in the series (could be 5) and they are romances.
A novella/short story series that is romance and is set 50 years in the future after terrorist bomb everything back to 19th century levels is called After the Crash by Maddy Barone (first book Sleeping With the Wolf). She has recently started a series featuring the kids of the characters from that series.
If you like sci-fi, check out the series Lords of the Middle Dark by Jack L. Chalker. This series is set way in the future, after an apocalypse caused by a computer.
The Spawn of The Death Machine is another one set far in the future after yet another computer destroys civilization. This one is probably going to be hard to find, as it was published in 1968 and re-released some time in the middle 70's.
I have a "thing" for book covers from the 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's. So I have read a lot of books that predate my learning to read. I have others that I can't remember the titles of right now, but I'm not really going to do a lot of looking for them, since a lot of them haven't been re-released in decades.

You put Day Of The Triffids in your post, but have you read Wyndham's other book The Kraken Wakes? It's about aliens who colonize Earth's oceans and melt the polar caps to raise water levels. It's like a slow motion apocalypse seen from the point of view of two British journalists.
I don't know how you feel about zombies, but World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks gives the entire history of an apocalyptic zombie outbreak, from the first known victims in China through the deaths of billions to the wars to retake abandoned territory. It's told as a series of interviews with a wide variety of people from all over the world. If you're into audio books, get the unabridged version. Every character is portrayed by a different actor, and it's pretty fantastic.

Jam - Carnivorous jam devours a city (in Australia, if I remember correctly)! A darkly comedic parody of zombie stories (the author is best known for his Zero Punctuation video reviews of games, and I think this book came out of him saying he was fed up with zombies).
Seveneves - The Moon explodes and life on Earth is doomed due to the falling debris; an "ark in space" has to be established to preserve humanity. I don't recommend this wholeheartedly (see review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... ); I think it has a bit too much dry exposition and some strange character decisions, and loses its way in the last third (after the flash forward to the distant future), but the actual apocalypse stuff is pretty good.

Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson
The Marrow Thieves by Cherie Demaline
Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice
The Family Tree by Sheri S. Tepper
The Book of Joan by Lidia Yuknavitch

I'm looking for Apocalyptic books - I know they're are a lot of them but I like really good ones I can totally disappear into. I also prefer Adult to
YA (less angst) but I do like romance. Not necessary but I also enjoy reading about the beginning of the apocalypse and I don't mind a series or standalone.
