On a side note......I recently found 4 Christie novels in the smallish trade pb editions that though small, they are VERY FLOPPY! One dollar each from Goodwill, look like they've never been read and still smell new! Great bargain finds like that make me absolutely giddy! (I might be a book nerd.) 🤓

This was so good! I finished last week and forgot to come in here to comment. I guessed that a couple of the characters were related to the case of the kidnapped girl, but didn't come close to figuring out the whole thing. Whoa! I think Christie is brilliant! I just loved trying to piece together the clues.
I loved Hercule Poirot and how his mind works. I loved his tactic of guessing what people are lying about and getting them to confess. Brilliant. Such a fun read.

This weekend I picked up 14 Christie books at Goodwill. They are all in perfect condition and I believe never read. (There were probably 50 new condition classic mystery books by various authors. Very curious.) Anyway, I will have lots of Christie to read as time permits.

What a great Goodwill find!
Yeah, the French phrases weren't my fave either. I had forgotten about them though by the end. I listened to it on audio so in one way it added a bit of authenticity to it.
