Quantum (quantumkatana) My daughter and I are reading it since we have to know the basics of economics because our elected officials make many decisions and much policy that are economic in nature.

What other books have you read on economics?

Nik Krasno | 19850 comments Sounds like a good starter to cover the basics. Not exactly related to the book topic, but maybe to the subject matter, I read recently about a new research that many self-made uberrich worked as salesmen at some point of their career: https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the...

That makes a lot of sense, since a sale is the quintessence of a biz where the money is made, so one needs to know (or have a flair to) to sell his/her product (no matter whether it's good or bad, superior or inferior to competitor's, etc) or your idea (silly, brilliant, so-so) to investors and so on...

Yvonne | 10 comments My son read Economix by Michael Goodwin, a comic book about economy, and he loved it. It's very American, though, but gives a good overview about how economy works and it's fun to read.
