To be honest, I haven't read it, I read an article about it and I believe it could be added to the shelf.
In her book she talks about rape in Japan and approach the fact that pressing charge against someone who raped you is a social suicide and she tells that's one of the reason why only a few women in Japan voice.
Note that she had to investigate by herself to get Justice. This book is about her life, it's about her fight for Justice. I guess it will be hard to read but once again I believe it is quite appropriate with the themes of Our Shared Shelf.
I don't know if it is translated in many languages but my guess is if it has been translated in French it' s probably available in English too.
