Miriam | 112 comments So, I just went to the May Group and saw that it is supposed to be The New Jim Crow if #24 continues to be #24.. Don't know if I'll be able to this month, since it is non-fiction and not too short, but I'll try!

Miriam | 112 comments So far I have only read 20 pages, but I've made a (challenging) reading plan until the end of the month

Doughgirl5562 | 960 comments Miriam, I was looking at your list and saw that several of your books have German titles. Please forgive my noziness, but are you German? Or maybe you just know German? I"m just wondering because I studied some German in college. It's been decades since then so I have unfortunatrly forgotten mych of it.

Karen | 41 comments I wonder if Theresa is getting a kickback from all the people she has funnelled here vrom Popsugar. 😉

Good luck with the challenge. I just finished my first Trim book.

Miriam | 112 comments Thank you to everybody for the warm welcome!

I somehow missed the notifications of your messages here, so I am only answering now.

The first attempt (May #24) did not work out so well, I have to say. Only managed to read about 20 pages of the book…. Well, new start in June! Also, I might take part in the June swap possibility…

Yes, I am German (but teach English at a high school). I like reading in English, but tend to read in German quite a bit, too. Partly because I read quite a lot from the library, partly because I normally read books originally written in German or another language than English in German.

Miriam | 112 comments Oh well, at the moment this challenge is at the backburner. I just have too many interesting books from the library and from netgalley to read...

Right? I have so many books piled up that do not meet the challenges here-I am struggling to get through My Greek book(even though I am enjoying it, I keep looking at the other books I have and want to get to them!)-But, the Greek book also fits "Retelling" so I can knock off 2 challenges at once!

Miriam | 112 comments It has been so long since I have even looked in this folder. I think I am going to give this whole idea a new try next year, since for the rest of this year I am going to try and finish Popsugar and AtY and just keep up reading in general.
I am trying to Keep my TBR from growing exponentially and unreachably high. Especially the actual physical books need to be read so I can gift them to other people and gain space!
