The Perks Of Being A Book Addict discussion
Captains Team: Trouble

I wouldn't put Wolf in the Whale or These Things of Darkness in yet, as I've not started them

I'm having a lovely time on my hols with niblings, although I could do without having to "atend you are the mummy horse" all the time! (my niece has issues with saying pretend, which I am trying to rectify). Way too old to be scurrying around on my hands and knees!

Looks like the only gaps now are H A T in title and love at first sight.
The former is easy, but any suggestions for the latter?

So, we can start another stream, while I finish any of those, probably the first will be Como Agua Para Chocolate, it's very short and in spanish, I'm a faster reader in spanish since it's my native language =P

I have not received an answer about repeating prompts in a new stream yet.

On to the next...

Perhaps he is there to help out with Brexit. I'm sure he has some really good, valid ideas about that, that Parliament should really listen to. (Wow. once again, I wasn't just struck by lightning.)
I feel so bad for the people who have to be polite to him. I would be tempted to say rude things.

No, no one wants him here - big protests planned tomorrow, mobbing around where I work - it'll be peaceful but crowded.
And the Squeaker, Bercow, (also liberal, queer supporter) was upfront about the fact that no way was Trump coming to address the Houses at all in any way shape or form.
Last time he came there were articles about how the Queen was snubbing him via her brooches. It was hilarious if true. So I suspect we'll get some sneaky Brit-snubs in there yet :)

Have fun watching the protests. Let me know if there are really good insults please. It makes me smile.

I mean, that's more effort than I'd put in, but still fun! :)

I hate that guy so much though, when he is shown on the news I have to look away. All I want to do is slap him. I'm so sorry that your country has to deal with having him there at all.
The Queen gave a lovely speech. Too bad most of the history bits went right over his head.

no idea what book, but presumably one with lots of pictures and few words, or it'll be wasted!

surely he is the bestest reader ever, in the history of reading. can't find a better reader!

I swear, sometimes people read it and don't get it.
(I also have one that reads "If you say the word GULLIBLE really slowly, it sounds like ORANGES.")
((Sure, I am a bit of an ass, but so what?))

I picked up six books last night, and they all look wonderful, but when I got home I realized that none of the covers are brown. I think that may be a handicap in a different challenge.
Take a look at Triangulum. It grabbed my eye, and it looks wonderfully weird.

4 days left: I might audio a Sherlock Holmes, but not sure what kindle book to pick up...

And, I just checked my new pile of books, and the text of Lent starts with an H. Cool.

And, I just checked my new..."
very cool! :)
I'll see what other audio I have then, rather than Sherlock Holmes

Nephew listened to and finished a book (god, putting him onto audiobooks was the best thing EVER!)
Auntie Cat's reading? Nil. I've one chapter (30mins) of audio left, but no chance. I'd hoped that my niece would be into the audio... Nope. Instead I spent a large part of the flight pretending my necklace was a snake and was pooing on me.
Which is a long way of saying, I'm cool with Dog,but don't expect a lot of books out of me!
