It's a ghost story in the spirit of Twilight or Beautiful Creatures. Tried to aim for adult age groups, but it's for young people as well.

Thanks very much Theresa. It feels pretty good to finally write as well as read. I hope you'd keep a lookout for it. Trying to reach out to as many people as possible and am eager for the book to be a success.

I will definitely keep an eye out for it, Ben. It sounds kind of interesting and hopefully in a month or two I will have more time to read. I understand your eagerness and anxiety. Trying to get the word out is the hardest thing to do.

You can find it on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and several other book-selling sites.

Hi, Ben, sounds like your book might be interesting. Did you self-publish it? I will check it out!

My name is Tara Hathcock and I am a reader/writer based in the Ozark Mountains of MIssouri. My first novel was published in November as a medical sci-fi/speculative/psych thriller. I have a sequel in the works and a children's picture book in editing.
I'm slowly working my way through all of the wonderful opportunities in this group and I'll be posting my novel in the appropriate folders soon. I look so forward to learning from the more experienced writers in this group.

I'm looking for readers feedback and suggestions.
Question: I don't know if it's accepted to post it here as a first draft novel or it must be a published one in order to post it for readers reviews?
Thanks,

I'm new to Goodreads so I'm looking for new friends and new book suggestions so please feel free..."
Hi, Kev. I don't usually read horror, but there is one young writer that I would recommend in the genre. His name is David Kummer. I've read three of his books. Until We Burn, She and She waits. All very good IMHO. Especially considering he wrote them in High School. Definitely a name to watch out for.

Welcome Ben and best wishes for reaching a broad audience! The genre you chose ought to reach 'young and older' ... as many are interested in novels such as yours! (add me if you like and i will add you too! ..

Claudia.

Hello, I'm a longtime writer hailing from California whose work has been published many times in the literary and mainstream press. I spent 6 years as an on-staff writer/editor for Toastmasters International (including their magazine, Toastmaster). Now, I freelance in nonfiction and am preparing to release Extraordinary Treasures--a collection of short stories.

Thank you for bringing me into the group. I'm published author Mary E Jung of Reign of Ashes. I'm pleased to meet everyone. I write epic fantasy romance. My book is on Goodreads to peek at. You can also follow me on Amazon, Instagram, and Facebook. Reign of Ashes is a magical adventure waiting to happen. I love mystical creatures and world building. I spend most of my time on imagery and lyrical prose. There's a HEA for the romantics and psychologically disturbed villains for the darker readers. I like to delve into both the darkness and light when writing. Both the villains and heroes are equally likeable. Hope you enjoy it as much as I loved writing it. Happy Reading!

Hope you are enjoying the long weekend. I am enjoying catching up on my fiction reading and working on writing a new paranormal thriller/romance series. I also have a romance and ya fantasy series that are published and available for purchase on Amazon. Links are below for those interested.
Happy reading and writing!

My latest novelette Chicken was #1 Bestseller in Horror on Amazon. This was a couple of weeks ago. CHICKEN only has 5 star reviews from around the world.
Approximately 9 months back, my debut novel, A Ladder Of Panties was #2 in Movers & Shakers on Amazon's Kindle store. A Ladder Of Panties is a Mumbai-based satire and is rated 4.5.
I'd like to connect with other authors so we can help each other promote our work.
Respect and regards.

Post-Easter, and post-lockdown and keeping busy! Just published my first book and working on the second... and third...
My first book is:Homecoming: A Wizard's Story It's a metaphysical-fiction book about a wizard, who does not like his job, and his adopted dragon, Scarlet. It is a self-help/coming-of-age/portal-fantasy novel.
It has taken me YEARS to write but I finally finished it.
Publishing on Amazon was an initiation! And like all initiations, it opened the door to other avenues of creative expression. As soon as it uploaded, I realised it wasn't as difficult as I imagined. So, I can finish the ones I am still working on, now that I understand the process.
During this time, I have also been hatching chicks and making soap, reading and listening to music and learning how to podcast. Walking in nature, connecting to the ancestors and, oh, doing Soul/past-life-readings, which I love.
I'd like to connect with other fantasy/spiritual journey novelists who are interested in the Soul Journey and Mother Earth.
Have a great weekend!

I am retired, but am learning how to use this tablet plus Goodreads. Not much with text chat, but adjusting to this new way of life. Looking forward to enteracting with authors. I thought that would never happen. Sorry about being such a drab.

I'm Phillipa, author of Rupert's Snowman. It's based on a true story after my son refused to leave his snowman behind on a hill snd we had to bring him home! I'm waiting for the proof of my next book, Emma's Sunflower and have been busy developing children's bookish activities some related to my books, some not. My books use a dyslexic friendly font and Grace Ward, the illustrator is dyslexic. That said, its a book for all children 2-5. Empathy is at the heart of the book and you can access resources to nurture empathy skills with your little ones by visiting bit.ly/childrensfriendships I'm really keen to know what your favourite children's picture books are!

I have been reading since the age of 7 and never stopped.
I had a blog (written with a co-author) turned into a novel with more than 28000 thousand followers between 2011-2013.
I also published poems in books / magazines (both in Romanian and English) !
Happy to be here!

I'm also new to Goodreads, and trying to learn this space as well as figure out how to market the book, get reviews, etc., while also get back up to speed in my new day-job (and after over a year of unemployment during the pandemic, that's harder than it sounds).
Funny, I thought the hard part would be writing the book, but then came all the time working with designers on cover and layout, editors on proofing and copyediting, and now it seems like the work has only just begun!
The book is non-fiction, and it seems there are fewer "opportunities" than for all the numerous fiction genres -- fewer lists, fewer groups, fewer people interested in reading/reviewing (not just here but in general). Is that true, or just my perception?
Any words of advice or suggestions from other non-fiction authors about how to reach non-fiction readers would be appreciated. Or from non-fiction readers. Details about the book can be found on my (newly-created) author's page -- it's the only book there so won't be hard to find (I'd describe it, but I did in another chat on this board, and don't think I'm allowed to post multiple times on the same board).
Thanks!

I am currently working on my 4th book, but when I'm not writing I do enjoy reading a good book, and cooking. I want to connect with other authors and readers, who enjoy books just as much as I do. I also would like recommendation to some good books for me to read.

I am excited to let you know that my book The Blackmail Enigma, the first in the series about a Silicon Valley executive traveling on business, solving mysteries around the world, was just published on Amazon Kindle eBooks. https://www.amazon.com/Blackmail-Enig...
It is a mystery and suspense novel with a bit of thriller and historical elements in its plot. If you read and like the novel, please consider posting a review and drop me a note about it.

Hi Lizzie, how are you? Are you looking for reviewers for your book(s)? If so, I'd love to read and review it in exchange for a physical copy, as I don't really have a good way to read ebooks. My review would be published on Goodreads and my book blog. I can also be reached by email at: [email protected]
Thank you!

My new book - “The Intrapreneur - Do your best work, accelerate your career, and lead yourself” covers how to transition from an employee to an Intrapreneur and really own the work and our careers.
Working on the next one related to job transition.

I don't think I am allowed to mention that I need book reviewers, but I do.

Please check out my three inspirational Christian fiction novels and the new reviews that I posted on my website at https://www.johnservantbooks.com/. I have received many new reviews of Always Before Me which have just been posted. It is a Christian fiction inspirational story about how to recover from terrible tragedy even if your failures are always before you.

"A Fatal Gilded High Note" finds Val and Roddy scouring New York and Palm Beach in 1899, when the death of a "coal king" in the Diamond Horseshoe of the Metropolitan Opera House is ruled a homicide.
