I have a copy of this somewhere around my apartment, but it is escaping my view at the moment, so I'm not sure exactly how long it is. From what I remember, it's not incredibly lengthy, so I'm just going to have us discuss the whole book here, rather than breaking it down by any chapters. I have never read this children's classic, so I'm curious to see how it shapes up. All I seem to remember is a very old cartoon with a talking frog, but I'm not even sure if that has anything to do with this story. Can anyone enlighten me? Did more of you read this as adults or as children?

Pallavi (bookfetisher) Its definitely read for Children... i read it last year and has almost 300 pages. I loved this book and the characters that are a set of animals with their own nature and friendship.
:)
Here is my review from last year read

Trudy Pomerantz I read it as an adult to my kids who were preschoolers and are now college students. Definitely time for a reread.

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) I read it as a child and read it to my son when he was in 1st grade. I just finished re-reading it and love the story. Toad is the talking frog you are thinking about, he gets into lots and lots of trouble. He has amazing and loyal friends, some of them simple and others very intelligent and wise.

Renee I have not read this since I was a kid so it was fun to read it again. It was like reading a whole new book. Rat, Badger and Mole are such patient, good friends to Toad. It's a wonder he can keep friends at all! Toad and his darn motorcars got him into a lot more trouble than he thought but I loved all his adventures, especially after his escape.

RachelvlehcaR (charminggirl) @Renee, I know what you mean! Toad is so much trouble. I think Mole and Badger are the sweetest, especially when they were spying on Toad Hall for Toad while he was locked up and escaping.
