Hi everyone! I'm so glad to see this team, everyone here are such crazy fast readers! And getting Jennifer and Tiera in a team together again is insane. Do you guys ask to team? Because surely Sarah would split you up, you're so quick. Glad I'm teaming with you guys :D

Plans for next month:
Lady Smoke (Ash Princess Trilogy #2) by Laura Sebastian A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by Robin LaFevers A Strange Hymn (The Bargainer, #2) by Laura Thalassa Hitched Volume One (Imperfect Love, #1) by Kendall Ryan (series)
Will be finishing up The Well of Ascension (Mistborn, #2) by Brandon Sanderson The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon as well.

The rest is kind of up in the air for now, will join more BRs later for sure though. What are you guys reading?

message 9: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 15974 comments I only have The Evolution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #2) by Michelle Hodkin and The Retribution of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #3) by Michelle Hodkin planned right now.

However, I might do Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by Robin LaFevers with Maddie if it comes in with in the time limit. Steelheart (The Reckoners, #1) by Brandon Sanderson and Battle of the Ampere (Michael Vey, #3) by Richard Paul Evans are planned for this month but might get pushed into June.

I also wanna do these books if I find buddys: The Enticement (Submissive, #5) by Tara Sue Me , Well Hung (Big Rock, #3) by Lauren Blakely , Full Package (Big Rock #4) by Lauren Blakely . I will add more later.

message 10: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53689 comments Mod
I might do Steelheart too, will just see hat happens. And I can wait for you for Grave Mercy Courtney. Either way, the thread is still active for 2 weeks after the last comment on it, so you could always read it when it comes in.

message 11: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 15974 comments Okay we will see I have it on hold so hopefully I get it doon. Its set for the 9th right?

Are we doing a spreadsheet?

message 12: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53689 comments Mod
I haven't figured out what tasks my books fit for yet, but we should be able to figure out what needs reading for pretty easily with the way Sarah's tracking things.

So from what I remember, we have 4 different time periods, and in each time period there are different zones. So if we read a book for each zone within a time period we get 10 bonus points. If we read a book for each zone for each time period, we get a trip to the random generator which will give us random bonus points. So I think that should be a priority for sure.
And we can reuse descriptions

message 13: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53689 comments Mod
Yeah set for 9th :)

I'm not sure, I'm really bad at them. I don't see why we would need an ss as we can reuse descriptions, and the way things are tracked should be fine. And we'll talk about it here anyway.

Courtney | 15974 comments We can reuse descriptions? Thats wierd for one of these challenges!

message 15: by Shar (new)

Shar (fictionalshar) | 959 comments so far my only buddy read is Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns, #1) by Kendare Blake and if we don't read this month, then Steelheart (The Reckoners, #1) by Brandon Sanderson too. I also might join in with A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin .

Also looking for buddies for A Curse So Dark and Lonely (A Curse So Dark and Lonely, #1) by Brigid Kemmerer and A Study in Charlotte (Charlotte Holmes, #1) by Brittany Cavallaro .

message 16: by Shar (new)

Shar (fictionalshar) | 959 comments Courtney wrote: "We can reuse descriptions? Thats wierd for one of these challenges!"

Yeah, from what I read we are able to reuse descriptions as many times as we like.

@Shar: At the pace I'm going, I'll still be reading Curse So Dark and Lonely next month, so I'll do that with you even though I've already started. And yes jump in with GoT! I'm still going strong with Priory and Well of Ascension, so I'm basically doing a day of each haha

message 19: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9862 comments So happy to be paired with all you guys :D I think we have a really strong team! I also have a pretty free June so plan to get so much reading done!

I love how many descriptions there are for this challenge. I think it almost every book could fit there. I think it would really be worth trying to plan our reads, if possible, to fill as many zones as possible. 10 extra points for each four books read will add up so quickly.

@Dannii: Yes we can totally smash out next month. It's my last month of challenge for a while, so I wanted to make it count. I'm down for Allegiant (and Four if you do that one as well). I'm also doing King's Cage and War Storm, so those'll be good points. I'd like to get to the Abhorsen books but not for a while.

I'm not sure how many books I'll read, but will easily hit 12. When I get on a roll I do an audio a day, so hopefully I start out strong, who knows.

message 22: by Shar (new)

Shar (fictionalshar) | 959 comments @Maddison I got so dark and lonely out from the library but didn't feel like starting it this month so I'll join in with you next month.

@Dannii ooo let me know when you start Charmcaster (Spellslinger #3) by Sebastien de Castell so I can join in with the buddy read!

message 23: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9862 comments @maddison my library recently got an audio app and I've got Scribd so will hopefully be able to listen to lots of audios too. I'm training for a marathon and running is prime audio time :)

@shar I'll let you know :) can't wait to get to this series!

message 24: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53689 comments Mod
@Shar: Sounds good!

@Dannii: Idk how you run and listen XD That's not motivating for me. I mainly listen while I drive, but also next month I'll be playing Candy Crush as well to smash them out. I'd like to do more romance/smut/new adult as audio rather than fantasy, as that's just confusing.

message 27: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9862 comments @maddison I'm pretty new to running and music has stopped motivating me on the longer runs I've started doing. Audios help me not feel like I'm dying 😂 As long as I've already started the audio befire the run, even if it's just one chapter, I tend to be able to focus well except for adult fantasy.

@tiera Ah yay! I'm so intrigued by this book. The author wrote it when she was only fifteen, apparently!

And hey Tiera!

I don't mind, someone else can decide :p

Unfortunately I'm going away for the weekend, as it's a long weekend here in NZ, and I won't be reading at all until the 3rd or even the 4th. So sorry, but I'll make it up to you!

message 34: by Dannii (new)

I don't mind about the spreadsheet either, I'm an awful decision maker haha. I'm happy to use it if you guys want to :)

message 35: by Shar (new)

Shar (fictionalshar) | 959 comments I made a copy of the spreadsheet and I'm gonna use it for myself as a reference and if anyone else wants to join me in the spreadsheet they can haha

message 37: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9862 comments I'll add my info on there too :)

message 38: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9862 comments As there's only a small gap for books to be added by each description, perhaps we could add all our books on there, once completed, but remove them once we've managed to earn the extra 10 points for completing all four zones in each sector. I hope that made sense, haha.

message 39: by Shar (new)

Shar (fictionalshar) | 959 comments yea that makes sense. I think that will work. cause once we've completed the 4 descriptions they don't really need to be there.

message 40: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 53689 comments Mod
I think I'll just add books on there as I go, most of my audios will work just around challenges and what tasks we need.

message 41: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9862 comments My first book of the month will be a reread and so can only count for one challenge - Medieval Zone - Skill - Read a book which you have read before. Apart from that one I think most of my other reads can fit multiple challenges.

Jennifer | 3530 comments Hey gang!

I'm reading these books for June in another group and would LOVE to have buddies here in YA....if anyone is interested. I admit I haven't looked into how they will fit with the challenge, but I'm confident that with all the categories, they will fit somewhere.

They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black Every Heart a Doorway (Wayward Children, #1) by Seanan McGuire Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, #1) by Benjamin Alire Sáenz Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (Creekwood, #1) by Becky Albertalli
and then these are KU (Tierra??) : Don't Bet on Love (Rockford High #1) by Victorine E. Lieske Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini The Lost and the Chosen (The Lost Sentinel, #1) by Ivy Asher Trying To Live With The Dead (The Veil Diaries, #1) by B.L. Brunnemer Lying Next to Me by Gregg Olsen Fallen Elemental (Evelyn Storm, #1) by Tamara White Exceptional A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance (The Exceptionals, Book 1) by Danica Rayne End of the Walker (The Walker, #5) by Coralee June Revenge of the Walker (The Walker, #4) by Coralee June

Great news guys, looks like you're all checked in ☺

message 50: by Tiera (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments I can do a reread of Starcrossed (Starcrossed, #1) by Josephine Angelini and I can do Exceptional A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance (The Exceptionals, Book 1) by Danica Rayne There are several of those others I've read and it hasn't yet been a year. I don't think I've read book 2 of The Lost and the Chosen (The Lost Sentinel, #1) by Ivy Asher series tho so if you want to continue that series we could team up for book 2. Same with Trying To Live With The Dead (The Veil Diaries, #1) by B.L. Brunnemer .
