Hi All,

June 1st starts SSJCPL's Summer Reading program. Our theme this year is A Universe of Stories. I thought it would be fun to make our June theme the summer reading theme and choose books about space, aliens, or galaxies. Don't forget to go to your nearest branch, http://ssjcpl.org/locations/default.html, and pick up a summer reading card. You only have to read 3 books to claim some fabulous prizes!

Feel free to choose any novel, YA or adult, that is set in space, about space, has an alien, or anything in between. To get you started here are a few reading suggestions:
The Lux series by Jennifer Armentrout
The Martian by Andy Weir
Packing for Mars by Mary Roach
Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
Across the Universe by Beth Revis
The Lunar Chronicles
The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers

If you have some other amazing space reads please share them below! Happy reading!

I don't know what it is lately but I can think of a million titles to read and can't seem to settle on any of them. I thought long and hard about what to read for this month's book theme and decided upon Cress, book three of the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I started the series awhile ago and absolutely loved it but haven't gone back to it. I thought this month's theme of space would be a perfect time to.
