A Brief and True Report of the New Found Land of Virginia by Thomas Harriot (1590) 112 pages, with 59 reviews.

This is a strange little thing to read. It is the report that an early English explorer John White made to Queen Elizabeth upon return to England after a year in the land of Virginia. The language is preserved with its unfamiliar spelling. For example, you see the word "diuers" over and over; think diverse. But it has been sitting in my Kindle library for a few years and it fit the last Rating Game category.

This appears to be a condensed edition of his long series. Although GR says it was first published in 2002, it most certainly is part of one of the others. We will give this a pub date of 1948 - the first edition in his series - so that it qualifies for both 20.1 and 5 oldies points.
