I’ve put soo much thought into this! Lol. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Haha. I’d love to hear them if you think I should change anything up. ❤️
rude, we did books against humanity.. aka cards against humanity. PLUS SOME NEW CHALLENGE ON THE WAY...

I will try. It depends how many people sign up since you guys read so much every month. I want to try to make teams fair. There will be 4 teams total. So I'll try for ya. :D
Uh I’m in I guess 40-50 books. Going on vacation for a week in August 🤷🏻♀️ so I won’t be reading that entire time

Anyway, I'm looking for about 10 books a month as of now. :)
For July and August, I'll probably read 40 books each month. In September I'm going on vacation so maybe 30 books.

Thanks boo! :D

Okie dokie.
For this third quarterly team challenge, I wanted to try something different. In the past we’ve done challenges based on movies, holidays, us mods, etc. But we haven’t had many challenges based on games. We’ve had monopoly and bingo. So we’re giving games another go by having a challenge based on the board game Clue!
There will be 25 suspects, 25 weapons, and 25 places. To make this easier on myself I’ll be referring to suspects as S, weapons as W, and places as P going forward in this post. There will be two categories per S, W, and P. Teams will work together to complete the categories for the S, W, and P. Each team will be given a conclusion they will be working towards figuring out. The conclusions will be one S, one W, and one P just like in the normal game. Once a team finishes both of the two categories for a S/W/P, during a score update I will have all of the S,W, & P listed and will cross them out as you go. If you should guess correctly I will comment in your teams chat thread that you have successfully guessed the S/W/P and you can cease completing categories for the remaining S/W/P.
All books will be counted towards one category and once the scores are updated there is no switching. So should you guess a weapon and it happens to not be the weapon in your conclusion the books used for those two categories are done and cannot be moved. But, for example, should there be five posts on the review thread when I go to update scores and the first post out of the five guesses the correct weapon but post two is also guessing a weapon you can repost that book for another category. I will comment when doing a score update which books can be reposted for another category.
To reiterate, BOOKS CANNOT BE MOVED ONCE THEY ARE COUNTED FOR POINTS! If you want to move a book around before I post scores you must comment again on your review thread what you want to switch it to. But once scores are updated and your book is counted towards a certain category there is no changing it.
***Scores will only be updated once per week day (hopefully), on most Saturdays, and never on Sundays. So keep this in mind when you post your reviews as you will not always right away get an answer for the S/W/P you are making an accusation towards. I will be on Goodreads a lot so I might pop onto review threads just to check for accusations.***
Members will receive points based on the pages read following the grid below and if they participate in buddy reads or the books of the month. But for this challenge, points won’t play a factor on being the winning team. The winning team will have figured out the most conclusions. Points will only count if there is a tie amongst the top most conclusions achieved. (For example if team 1 who has 1,000 points and team 2 who has 1,100 points both figured out 7 conclusions then team two would be the winning team based on their points earned.)
Teams conclusions will be chosen randomly by me. Yes, you can get a repeat S/W/P so do not think if you’ve had a suspect already that you cannot get them in a future conclusion. You might still need to read for those categories.
So basically, this challenge is all about the luck of the books read by participants of the challenge and which categories teams decide to complete first.
The points members get will go towards your final added total of all challenges during the months of July through September to figure out the winner of the $10 bookdepository.com book.
The general challenge rules can be found here.
Page Points
1 - 99 pages → 0.5 pts (and it will only count for page points - not clues)
100 - 149 pages → 1 pt
150 - 249 pages → 2 pts
250 - 349 pages → 3 pts
350 - 449 pages → 4 pts
450 - 549 pages → 5 pts
550+ pages → 6 pts
Buddy Reads will DOUBLE your points.
BOTM will TRIPLE your points.
When posting reviews to the review thread, please post them like the following:
Bookcover
Review: Link
Pages: #
BR: Link (if applicable)
S/W/P: category - subcategory (ex. Suspect: Felicia - part of a series)
How it fits: if necessary
*it is unnecessary for example to put a “how it fits” for both of the subcategories for my name. However, for in text subcategories (and others like it where I cannot verify that it is legit from the GR page) you must put how it fits the subcategory.
Members will receive five (5) bonus points for their team if they read a book that matches the category they’re reading for. (For example, if I were to read The Cruel Prince and use it for the category Holly Black - features fae I will receive 5 bonus points. OR if I am reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and I use it for Platform 9 ¾ - 9,3,4 in page count I will receive 5 bonus points) This only works for suspects and places. No bonus points will be given for any weapon categories.
I know this was a lot of information regarding this challenge so if you have any questions please ask them below or here.
When signing up please comment how many books you plan on reading for the months of July, August, and September. Keep in mind the holidays y’all! ❤️
