Game Rules:
The Game of Life Challenge will take place from July 1st to August 31st. The winner’s will be announced on September 1st. This will be a page count challenge as well. Each space will have a certain task. It can range from a specific genre to a page count. For example, Read a book with an MPG (main page genre) Fantasy or This space requires 50 page points before your next turn.

If you get a page point task, then you as a team will have to read as many books as you can to get to that number. Depending on the books, you might go over the designated number requirement - but that will go into a rollover period for the next page count task that you recieve.

That way if you have a 50 page point requirement for a square. You have 48 points on it and someone reads a book that gains your team 6 more points. You would then have 4 points leftover for the next page count task.

When your team lands on a page count task, not everyone has to complete a book before you take the next turn. However, if you land on a square that has a specific task - you, as a team, can’t move until everyone completes a book for it. You can post completion books for other team members and each team will have their own spreadsheet to keep track of everything.

Serious ~ 8+ books (per month)
Medium ~ 4+ books (per month)
Just For Fun ~ Any amount of books (per month)

**When signing up please be aware that some spaces will be a specific task in which ALL team members have to read a book that fits that task before moving onto another space.

However, if a team member has taken longer than a week to start, finish, or post a book for the specific task - I will allow another team member to post a second book for the completion.**

Page Points
1 - 99 pages → 0.5 pts
100 - 149 pages → 1 pt
150 - 249 pages → 2 pts
250 - 349 pages → 3 pts
350 - 449 pages → 4 pts
450 - 549 pages → 5 pts
550+ pages → 6 pts

Buddy Reads will DOUBLE your points.
BOTM will TRIPLE your points.


**The spreadsheets for each team will have two tabs for the actual game. This will depend on whether you decide to take the college or career route. Once a team has decided, I will lock the other so that there is zero confusion about which to use. These will be added once teams are made.**

**I will be on vacation for a week in August, 10th -17th, for my dad's 60th! I will still be near a phone at all times so if a team has completed their task - please pm me and I will let you know the next square/task. That being said, I will ONLY be updating team SS's (if need be) and scores ONCE a day while there. It will most likely be at night or in the morning - so please be patient!**
