Nothing But Reading Challenges discussion
Wheel o' Brown (WaT IV)

A Tangle of Gold

I've got books for coffee/suspense and walnut/new adult. It's the brown/space opera and terracotta/memoir I'm worried about

I don't have any opinion on the re-spin, so if the majority wants to spin just for the fun of it, I don't object.

Title: War of the Wolf
Author: Bernard Cornwell
Date read: 17/07/2019
Pages: 352 (default)
Letters: All characters except "B"
U - Uhtred
M - Mus
B - author
E - Eadric
R - Rorik
I am now officially bookless! May squeeze in a short ebook or something...

What if the default edition is the large print edition? I'll finish my current audiobook this evening and will start Country Bride next. The default is the large print edition with 192 pages. When I look at the list of all editions, the next one on the editions list after the large print edition is a kindle edition with 192 pages, the next after that also a kindle edition without any page numbers, and the next one a hardcover edition with 224 pages. Will we use the 224 page edition?

We'll get the new word latest tomorrow, so enough time to plan ahead before the week is up :-)
Maaaaybe, if Cat is feeling generous, we'll get the respin even quicker than that!

Well, Cat is a very kind and generous and generally all-round awesome person, so here's hoping? (you think that's enough sucking up, or should I throw in a few more superlatives?)

Alriiiiiight,
most of you seem to be happy with the respin (Tea will agree as well, I'm sure hehe) so I'll go request us a crazy Chipmunk respin for this week!
Fingers crossed we'll get something good! :-D

Ruh-roh! The Chipmunks of Creativity and Chaos got confused!
Rather than a Re-Spin, they've done a Spin-Off!
Your replacement word is: ESPRESSO
Your replacement genre is: SPORTS
The Year We Fell Down is an option - used to be a kindle freebie at some point as well. If you want an easy-going college romance with fun banter.
Eta: for someone else, I mean. I've read it only a couple of months ago.

Yep - Cold Fury Hockey ;-)
I've only read the first one so I could go for one or two more of those.

And if you don't want to go with ice-hockey romances, here is the sports shelf:

Yeah, we might be able to scrounge up enough books so you can pick a chucky non-genre after the sports one - boost our points a little =)

So that's two sports from me. Woohoo!

That I would not have expected! o.O

Pratchett had at least one book on every topic! lol.

The M&M Boys I read a couple of years ago and that was a decent book about sports and was another freebie at the time, so might still/again be.

Mmmh, true. But if we get 10 short ones divided up through the team, we can always focus on bigger books in whatever else we read.

I think I'm gonna reread Susan Elizabeth Phillips Chicago Stars series :P

Maybe it's a perfect time to re-read Beartown and finally check out The Foxhole Court :)

Hahah, don't worry about it!
It was torture after all. Can't remember how long it took me to finish that book, or even the third one. Didn't touch #4 yet..
Do you happen to have another U lying around?

And yeah, I guess we really could manage the suspense tags, but since we've already had it, a respin for the fun of it might be worth it to change things up a little hehe.
(And there's absolutely no guarantee we might not get Coffee again somewhere down the line!)
