Tina ❣ (nutrinut) | 2000 comments I’ll do a completion post for sports genre books within 24 hours.

I think dry might be finished on Saturday for me. I like the book but I think I just need to take my time with it. I take things literally so I don’t go into tap out mode in real life because I’m reading it.

Sorry about that. I guess when I was checking what to read I looked at wrong tab. And didn't check again after reading because 'it was there'

Camilla | 1885 comments I will finish one more book tomorrow (works at least for E, P, R, S), no sports genre.

I'll be travelling next week, starting very early on Sunday. I'll have wifi at the hotel, so will try to update as much as possible. Should have ample time to read, since I'm heading to Menorca with my older daughter for a week of sun and relaxation.

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12885 comments Almost finished my book. Been one of those weeks with several days with little to no reading time, so I'm a little behind, but will be done in plenty of time for the deadline. I have literally no plans for today besides slumping in a chair with a book and trying not to melt! lol.

Eldarwen | 13647 comments Mod
That is the best to do in this disgusting heat. Tomorrow is the day where it will fiiiinally, finally cool off here, and hopefully we'll also get some rain and a bit of thunderstorm. It'll still be around 25°c, but that's more than 10°c less than we've had all week so far.

Enjoy the lazy reading time :-)

message 1270: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12885 comments It's a lot cooler today than yesterday, around the high 20s, But it's still a perfect excuse for not moving. Movement makes things sooooo much worse, lol. Yesterday was most unpleasant, and I really didn't appreciate having to work!

message 1276: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12885 comments We had 32-34 for most of the day, and really high humidity, which makes it feel 10 degrees hotter. also absolutely NO breeze. nada.
Not much better today, but at least temps only 29.4 right now, lol.

message 1277: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 13647 comments Mod
That's the worst, when it's hot and humid and no breeze. It feels like you can't even breathe anymore because nothing moves and the heat just sits there.

We had 39/40°c yesterday. By 11pm it was still 26°c out. So disgusting. In the evening, there was a little breeze though, and even if it was only warm air, it was a little something at least that made it all sort of bearable in the shade. (Was sitting at a terrace with some alumni from my uni - worst day ever for this kind of gathering but oh well, was lots of fun anway!)

message 1278: by Sammy (new)

Sammy (sammystarbuck) | 12885 comments It's the only kind of heat we ever get here. It's always humid, lol.

They promised us rain this morning, but nope. Could really do with some just to clear the air a little!

Glad you had fun at least! :)

Judy | 4065 comments We had 35°C yesterday - not as hot as some other places, but I live in the middle of Munich so it's a "big city with lots of bricks storing the heat" kinda hot. Even when it "cools down" at night, it's still so hot outside cause the ground & walls giving off so much heat 😰 I was sitting on some steps last night over an hour after sunset and it was like sitting on a stove 😂
