Mohit Parikh (mohitparikh) Hi guys,
Any suggestions for the best place to organize a book event in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. We are thinking Crossword Bookstores but are not 100% sure.

Manan is a Young Adult book, so we do want schoolkids to participate and the location cannot be too far.

Any help, much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) How about talking to school authorities and giving away a couple of free copies in the school itself? (Maybe, linked to a contest etc.)

Sumit Singla (sumitsingla) P.S. Moved this to the appropriate thread :)

Good luck with the promotions!

Mohit Parikh (mohitparikh) Thanks for the suggestion, Sumit. We are going to try that in Bangalore schools this month!
And thanks for the luck! :)

Mohit Parikh (mohitparikh) More praise for Manan:

‘Parikh demonstrates a deft hand at painting a picture of life in middle-class India in the late ’90s and lends his protagonist a voice that rings true, page after page. Manan is an original look at a young boy’s world, much like the first Adrian Mole books. A keen observer, a compulsive problem-solver and a dreamer with his feet firmly on the ground, Manan Mehta is the boy we all know, the person we all can be.’ – The Indian Express(http://indianexpress.com/article/life...)

‘The book paints a vivid picture of the average Indian home, with the dynamics of husband-wife relationship, sibling chemistry and the toll that the very suggestion of a love marriage can take, pitched against a backdrop of a boy's wait at the precipice of manhood. From the inane jokes that Manan, the protagonist, shares with his friends, to his imagination that runs riot, there is a lot to keep you very engrossed.’ – The Sunday Tribune (http://www.tribuneindia.com/2014/2014...)

‘Ultimately, Manan is a charming rendezvous through the mindscape of a boy who never stops thinking—and might trigger you to think a little deeper as well.’ – The Asian Review of Books (http://t.co/aGVzjdygKT)
