Chloe was three years old when she became Chloe Holden, but her adoption didn’t scar her, and she’s had a great life. Now, fourteen years later, her loving parents’ marriage has fallen apart and her mom has moved them to Joyful, Texas. Starting twelfth grade as the new kid at school, everything Chloe loved about her life is gone. And feelings of déjà vu from her early childhood start haunting her.

When Chloe meets Cash Colton she feels drawn to him, as though they're kindred spirits. Until Cash tells her the real reason he sought her out: Chloe looks exactly like the daughter his foster parents lost years ago, and he’s determined to figure out the truth.

As Chloe and Cash delve deeper into her adoption, the more things don’t add up, and the more strange things start happening. Why is Chloe’s adoption a secret that people would kill for?

Like I can see his POV and why he thinks the way he does, but he has to minutely believe Chloe could be the actual daughter. Which means did her ‘parents’ actually steal her, maybe they had a shady adoption or is it all in his head?! I hope he fills her in soon. And her dad is an asshat!!! (hide spoiler)]

37% (view spoiler)[Well it doesn’t seem like a coincidence anymore. I’m pretty sure Chloe is Emily but now they have to figure out the details of her adoption. Either way I’m feeling so bad for both Mrs. Fuller and Chloe’s sick mom. Glad Cash finally came out an told her so this doesn’t go on, they can at least work together now. Wish he’d be nice to the Fullers tho, they’re trying so hard! (hide spoiler)]

63% (view spoiler)[Things are getting crazy and even dangerous. I guess she is Emily and was taken by this relative at the agency. Apparently some poor girl died in her place and she was taken as a replacement, how crazy and sad. Now this creeper is following them and prolly gonna I don’t know try to kill them. And damn her mom is just in bad bad shape. Poor Chloe, that’s a lot to deal with for a teenager 😢 (hide spoiler)]

85% (view spoiler)[This turned into a thrilling nail biter fast. The poor nanny gets killed and they nearly get shot. And now omg she’s in cash’s house and her birth mother just got home, I’m assuming their gonna meet now and shits gonna hit the fan. They need to catch Rodney and that damn adoption guy tho. They need to pay for what they did and someone needs to research every adoption performed by that agency. How many kids were taken (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[ that epilogue wrapped everything up so nicely. I’m glad to see both sets of parents getting along and being accepting of one another. I’m also glad her mom gets a little payback against her dad and didn’t forgive him. I don’t think she will but I’m glad her mom is doing better and coping. Hopefully she had a wake up call after the pill incident. Also good lord the Fullers must be super successful doctors with like 3 homes now and one basically that’s for cash and Chloe alone for when they go to school. One thing I noticed was, I was really thinking the job her mom got as a nurse was going to be for the fuller’s I’m almost surprised there wasn’t that connection but then again maybe it would have been all too unrealistic given all the other drama going on. Overall I enjoyed it. (hide spoiler)]

I'm not happy with her mom, I get that she's sad and mad at the dad, but she shouldn't take things out on Chloe or talk so much shit about the dad. She needs counseling for sure (hide spoiler)]
