He argues that any solution to the technological challenges discussed in part one must involve global cooperation between nations. Unfortunately, nationalism, religion, and culture are strong forces dividing humankind, creating hostility, mistrust, and violent conflict. How likely is it that we will be able to overcome our differences to do so? What do you think of his argument that we must work together to face the future?
