A lot of people don't see the harm in it, but if you consider that it is a word used as an insult to a person with an Intellectual Disability for doing nothing at all, and then used to liken someone to that person because they did something stupid, then you might think twice.

I'm probably more sensitive to it because my daughter has an ID - she is diagnosed with autism.

Ok, that's my raising awareness done for today - thanks for listening. If you decide to update it, send me a message when it's done and I'll edit it out of my review, but it's entirely up to you. :D

You are not involved in this reading group. However, if you are getting unwanted emails, go to the bottom of the thread and where it says 'You are following this discussion' click on Edit to the right and change it to the setting you want.

Most likely in your main message settings you chose to get all emails for all the groups you are in.
