Erica Stafura (estafura) Hi all! I started a book blog last month. I was recently gifted a 6-month subscription to PageHabit boxes - mystery genre of course!

https://thenovelquest.blogspot.com

Oh, and my favorite author is Karin Slaughter when it comes to all things thriller.

I would love some more followers, and any tips or advice! I will be posting my first thriller review this weekend, but I have one review already on there.

Thanks in advance!

Mark Tilbury (marktilbury) | 24 comments Over on my blog today I shine a spotlight on fellow author Simon Farrant. Simon talks about his third book, Death Dolls and shares an extract from the book. I've been given the nickname #sickoauthor, but I think Simon could easily share that tag going by what he says about his book!

James Lawther | 3 comments Hello,

I read a great quote:

The danger that may really threaten (crime fiction) is that soon there will be more writers than readers
― Jacques Barzun

So I have started a blog. The challenge I have set myself is to never read more than one book by a single author.

I'm 52 so if I read a book a fortnight until I am 75 years-old that is 598 authors I need to cover. I've managed 8 so far.

If you'd like a look you can find it here: https://crimebooks.uk/

More importantly, if you have any suggestions for the next 590 I'd love to know. Life is too short to read bad books.

Thanks very much

P.S. I'm undecided about different pen names :S

Thomas (tom471) | 2006 comments The toilet paper shortage has expanded from toilet paper to books. Publishers are delaying book launches. Unknown how James Patterson will be affected. My library has 15 shelves of his books.
Quote from Washington Post article: "As Douglas Adams would say, “Don’t panic.” But we may be running out of paper. And this time it’s not just toilet paper. A recent report in The Washington Post warns, “Book publishers, dogged by paper shortages and shipping delays, are pushing fall releases into early next year” (story).
Ingram, a major book distributor, issued a statement noting that “the book industry, like all physical goods industries, is experiencing Covid’s negative logistic impacts due in large part to labor and supplies shortages and transportation issues.” The company warned of “a perfect storm brewing.”

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 47 comments Does Your Life Have a Theme?

Have you ever looked back on your life and seen a theme? I doubt that most of us have. But if you have, I’d love to hear about it.

Here’s where to tell us:

https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...

If you are a reader, I’d love to know what theme you feel authors never tackle. Or, tell us your favourite theme in books in general or in a single book.

If you are an author, please tell us how you arrived at the theme of one of the books you have written (no links please but do put the title). Here's where to tell us:

https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...

There’s also a stress reliever tip for the tough times ahead.
