272. Do you listen to physical audiobooks or e-audiobooks? Where do you get them from?

A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess It was so awful and took forever to erase it from my mind.

What are physical audiobooks? Tapes?

I rarely listen to e-audiobooks. But when I do, I get them from Amazon.

I listen to e-audiobooks. I get them from Hoopla, overdrive, Libro.fm, Scribd. Anywhere I can, basically.

Krystyna wrote: "271. Are there any books that you wish you had never read? Why?"

Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough and Come Closer by Sara Gran. Both of those books are awful, and I try not to think about them.

Jennifer Goins | 525 comments I listen to physical audiobooks. I check them out from my local library.

Vivian Stevenson (passionatelyperusing) | 2032 comments No, I haven't started decorating/I don't decorate my bookshelves. I'm not sure that I will decorate at all this year.

Jennifer Goins | 525 comments Krystyna wrote: "275. Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? Do you decorate your bookshelves?"

Yes! We actually decorated early this year because we have 2 little ones that just couldn't wait another second. I don't decorate my bookshelve, but you just gave me an idea!!

message 969: by Debra Diggs (last edited Dec 01, 2020 12:49PM) (new)

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments I have not decorated yet. Year round, I keep two little Christmas statues on the bookshelf. If I manage to put up outside lights this year, I might leave them up year round.

277. What book do you think is the equivalent to a cup of hot cocoa?

message 975: by Laurel County (new)

Laurel County Public Library | 3560 comments Mod
A book that I think is a perfect comparison to a cup of hot cocoa is Greenglass House by Kate Milford. It's a beautiful middle grade story that takes place in the winter, over Christmas break. It has a bit of a mystery, found family, and very cozy descriptions.

message 976: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Goins | 525 comments What Light by Jay Asher

The book follows Sierra who's family owns and operates a Christmas tree farm. It would be a perfect winter, Christmas read with a good cup of hot cocoa!

message 977: by Vivian (new)

Vivian Stevenson (passionatelyperusing) | 2032 comments I don't think I've ever read a Christmas book. I guess I would say The Weight of Ink by Rachel Kadish. It's a long book that you wouldn't want to read quickly. You sip on it here and there--just like you would with hot cocoa.

message 992: by Debra Diggs (new)

Debra Diggs | 2445 comments A Christmas Carol. The one with Patrick Stewart is really good. And the musical with Albert Finney is great. I watched the Muppet version for the first time this year, it was very good.

I'll typically watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles in December, but it's a Thanksgiving movie lol.
