This week, share your favorite series with all of the books released! It doesn't matter how many books are in the series, only that all of them are available to read.

Aakash (procrastinator) | 448 comments 1. All the completed series by Rick Riordan.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians,The Heroes of Olympus,The Kane Chronicles,Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard. It is like another Marvel Universe for me.
2.The Merchant of Death and other nine books in the series.
3.And last nothing new. It is my favourite of all time. Harry Potter Series Box Set

Bill | 2150 comments 1. Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson
2. Inda by Sherwood Smith
3. Either Kushiel Universe(Mostly Phedre and Imriel) by Jacqueline Carey or Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan

The first two are by far my favorites. The third one probably depends on the day. If the Naamah trilogy matched the quality of Phedre and Imriel than Kushiel universe would be a much clearer 3.

Maria (mariasaleem) | 684 comments Hmm, when thinking about a favourite series I realized many of the fantasy series I've completed are not my favourite, and a lot of my favourites are standalones or series I recently started 🤷‍♀️ so

Oh well. Here goes

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - 'cause I'm basic but also because the series is what actually got me into reading, and started my love for fantasy.

The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy - love the worldbuilding so much, and the tone and the darkness and the magic. Even though the last book was not my favourite.

3rd, if I really have to choose, may be - Percy Jackson and the Olympians - because it got me into Greek Mythology, and I just love the powers the kids have, it's similar to elemental magic, which is a favourite of mine. Also has some good lessons

The Complete Malazan Book of the Fallen - The only thing remotely close is Stormlight Archives which I question if that will be completed in my lifetime.

The Price of Spring - Everything in this series is about the subtleties and nuances.

The Stone Sky - I tried one of her earlier series and DNF'd the series after the first book. She's really grown as an author.

Andrew | 653 comments 1. Harry Potter. Cliche, yeah I know. But it's just so enjoyable.

2. Wheel of Time (The Eye of the World). It's huge and meandering and could be written better in the middle of the series. Obviously not without its faults, but I love the world and characters.

3. Long Price Quartet (A Shadow in Summer). Perhaps the "best" series I have read in my opinion. Excellent series concept and writing quality.

*Honorable Mentions: Divine Cities (City of Stairs) and Sarantine Mosaic (Sailing to Sarantium).

Saul the Heir of Isauldur (krinnok) | 209 comments 1. Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams. A great fantasy trilogy with pretty much everything you could.expect from the genre.
2. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. This book series was my childhood, and is still great.
3. The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski. Different from a lot of other fantasies and just badass and fun.

Haven’t done one of these in a while!

1. Revelation Space by Alastair Reynolds. My favourite hard sci-fi series.
2. Remembrance of Earth’s Past by Cixin Liu. Read last year and fell in love.
3. Broken Earth Trilogy by N. K. Jemisin. Just amazingly done.

Honourable mentions:
A Time Odyssey - Arthur C. Clarke and Stephen Baxter
Machineries of Empire - Yoon Ha Lee
The Passage - Justin Cronin

Stephen Richter (stephenofskytrain) | 15 comments My favorites that do not get enough mentions
The Faithful and the Fallen By John Gwynne . If Robert Jordan had kept his series to 5 books it would be like this series.
The Greatcoats by Sebastien de Castell Blend up A Game of Thrones with The Three Musketeers and you get this swashbuckling series. And right now every book in the series is $2.99 https://www.amazon.com/s?k=greatcoats...
Lastly the The Draconis Memoria by Anthony Ryan Mostly for using a setting that is Steampunk in nature but definitely an Epic Fantasy!

Petrik (petrikleo) | 1546 comments -Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.
-The Faithful and the Fallen by John Gwynne
-The Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb

I'll include Stormlight Archive in 2050. See you in 3 decades peeps.

message 12: by Bea (new)

Bea | 2050 comments - Malazan Book of the Fallen

- Harry Potter - not sure if it would still be a favorite if I read it for the first time now but since this is the series I've read the most often (around 15 times ^^) I think it belongs into the top three

- as for the third one, I'm not sure which series I'd choose since there are a few options where I can't say which one I like best.
-->so maybe the Liveship Traders Trilogy?

message 13: by Shae (new)

1. Fitz and the Fool Trilogy by Robin Hobb
2. The Wounded Kingdom Trilogy by R. J. Barker
