What is your proudest moment writing some of your characters?
What was the most surprising thing you learned while writing one of your books?
I can't wait for the new Gabriel's book....
Thanks for stopping by and answering our questions...
Btw. I love how art is such a huge part of your books and ew+even though I like to think I know a lot I still get inspired to revisit or to research more...
If you could invite a fictional characther to your books, who would it be and why?

HI Milica,
Thanks very much.
That's a great question and it's difficult to choose just one. But consider the heroism of Fr. Maximilian Kolbe: https://www.biographyonline.net/spiri...
His heroism at Auschwitz is truly inspirational.
Thank you for reading,
SR

Dear Antonella,
Thank you for your questions.
There were a couple of scenes in "Gabriel's Redemption" that I was particularly proud of. I don't want to spoil the story for those who haven't read them ....
When I was writing "The Man in the Black Suit" I conducted research on major art heists around the world and I was surprised at the number of unsolved crimes (including that of the Gardner Museum in Boston), and the unrecovered art that had been stolen.
Thanks for reading,
SR

Hi Katrina,
Thanks for your question.
I've always wanted to write a fantasy novel, but haven't yet.
Thanks for reading, SR

Hi Patricia,
Thanks for your question.
I'm afraid I share vices and virtues in almost equal measure, but I have tried over the years to be more self-aware ...

What was the hardest scene you wrote in that series and why??

I'm a big fan.. What inspired you to write the Gabriel series? and, when did it happen? Forgive me if you've (probably) already answered this (a million times), just please point me in the direction where it occurred so I can read it. Lol

I just finished The man in the black suit, I really loved the book. Acacia is a strong character. Will we see more of Nicholas and Acacia in the future?

What do you think is the biggest challenge on writing romance novels? Do you have plans writing outside of the genre? If so, what will it be?

Hi Nicole,
I've spent some time consulting on the script for "Gabriel's Inferno" for the forthcoming film:

And I'm also choosing my next writing project ;)
Thank you for reading, SR

Hi Samia,
I'd like to write another novel in the series ....
I'm not sure when.
Thank you for reading :)
SR

Would you ever consider collaborating with another author to write on a book together?"
Hi Melanie,
My friend EL James and I wrote a short piece here: http://sylvainreynard.com/visiting-fl...

HI Tessa,
Thank you.
I was inspired by the true life story of Dante and Beatrice, which he recounts in his "La Vita Nuova."
I started writing about the Professor in the fall of 2009 ...
All the best and thanks for reading, SR

Hello Andrea,
Thank you.
I've been thinking about writing a sequel to that novel ... I'm not sure when.
Thanks for reading, SR

HI Monica,
I will think about it ;)
Ibarra says hello, by the way ....
Thanks for reading, SR

A number of readers have asked about challenging scenes and fun scenes.
There are a couple of scenes in "Gabriel's Redemption" that I found challenging to write. I don't want to spoil the story ....
I enjoy writing the character of Katherine Picton. She's a lot of fun to write. And she plays an important role in "Gabriel's Promise," so stay tuned ...
Thank you for reading, SR

HI Suzana,
Not while I'm writing, no. Usually I listen to music when I'm thinking about the novel or when I'm envisioning a scene.
But when writing, I need quiet.
Thanks for reading, SR

Hi Maria,
It varies, but JRR Tolkien is a favourite. I think his world building and his literary craft is unparalleled.
Thanks for reading, SR

My sincere congratulations for your upcomming Gabriel'sInferno movie!
We are all very impatient to discover the birth of Gabriel'sInferno on screen. In this regard, do you think to make cinematographically adapt your Florentine series also via Passioflix?
