Chrisjen Avasarala as she appears in Caliban's War. I am not yet her - but when I get to her age, I hope to have attitude too.

When I was small, it was The Silver Brumby. I was very horse mad.

For life right now - I am identifying with The Lorax in the way that he basically says "Good grief! Sort out your own mess, I''ll be back when you've worked it out!" I have children who are still learning to clean up after themselves. After many years of intensive training. Many, many years.

Strider, from The Fellowship of the Ring (view spoiler)[Yeah, I know that's just an alias, but I liked him best as Strider, and didn't ever really like him as much when he resumed his name as Aragorn. (hide spoiler)]
I suppose as an alternate to Strider I'd choose Faramir. In real life I'll never be a badass swordsman, but a part of me always relates to the truly heroic, practical swordsmen who know wilderness survival skills, can defend people, and take on quests and hopeless tasks for the right reasons.

3 characters that are most like me are Nico di Angelo from The Tyrant’s Tomb, Luka from Mated Girl, and Nishinoya Yuu from Haikyu!! 1.Cilt.

Robert Baratheon - GOT - Because I usually find myself in a leadership role of somewhere I don't want to be.

Dunk the Lunk - A knight of the seven kingdoms - Because I usually find myself defending people out of loyalty where I shouldn't

Darrow - Red Rising - Because I act without thinking and find myself in a leadership role where I don't want to be...

So, if I am picking three characters who communicate parts of me, I have to take:
1) Alex Benedict from Jack McDevitt's series
2) Wendell Urth from Asimov's mysteries
3 Joseph Schwartz from Pebble in the Sky

Now, if we were doing characters that I wish I was like, we would have a very different list . . .

Dee from the Planetfall series would be one of mine just to be (slightly) different from the crowd.
Steffi of my beloved The Steerswoman series and the husband of Misaki... something Matsuda... from The Sword of Kaigen are the other two I'll go with.

I'll be checking out the Koli series as someone said they gave them my voice when they read it.

Maybe, but I'll do a millionth reread first :)

I'm going to reread the series later this year now that my library has the audiobooks. I'm excited to finally listen to Emma read one of her own stories. I'll see you in the thread!
