Terry and I are starting today the buddy read of Every Dead Thing.

well! you know me, i love to over do it! so i put this book on reserve at the library. i hope they get to it faster than they have the invited (eye roll).

I wanted to see if my library had it but I will never have time I don’t reckon 😕

Don't stress if you can't get this until next week from the library. We're reading this SLOW. We've got other reads going on at the same time.

I would loved to have FINALLY joined y’all but I’m not going to bother with 12 weeks. Although, they have been giving me options to jump the line sometimes if I will read it in 7 days. That’s too stressful 😳

That is so strange 🤣😂. Our library used Libby now but I think you can still use Overdrive but it’s the same 🙄

You are all in for a treat. This series is amazingly good.
The first book throws a lot at you but stay with it. Each book in the series gets better and you'll feel like the characters are people you really know.

So great to hear WendyB! Terry and I have been wanting to read this series for years and I’m so glad it gets better with each book. Woot woot!

I was just looking at how many books there are in the series an saw they were all except two rated above 4 stars. Lots to look forward to!

I bought a used paperback version of this book at a used book store a few years ago. I just opened it up to start tonight and found that it's actually a copy signed by the author, which I didn't see before. It's already off to a good start and I haven't read a word of it yet!

Got to the beginning of Ch 4 today. I'm enjoying the book so far and this "Travelin' Man" sounds super evil and terrible.

I actually got the book today! Starting it now.

my cover looks like this. so i'm guessing this book is about a guy skinning Sasquatch with a little knife and it hurt very badly.

Just got to ch4 as well - and I think you’re right about the Travelin’ Man!

I’ve made it up to ch10. Definitely a slow burn so far as we meet all of these characters and get the back story. But I’m enjoying so far.

Well, I’m going to take my hold off at the library. If y’all are that far in I’m not gonna wait the 12 weeks for the library 😳

It’s only about 80 pages in where I’m at, but I totally understand Melissa. That stinks it would take that long to get it!

It’s that way a lot at my small library. I wish there was a bigger one I could pay to be a member somewhere out there

I got to the beginning of Ch 13 last night.
It's definitely a slow burn!! I'm trying to get all the characters down (especially the mob connections) and I think that's what a few people have said. Just stick with it and the next book is so much better since you'll have the backstory.

We just did a slow burn so I don't mind! :D
I really love the character of Charlie Parker though. He's really a no nonsense type of ex-cop and I like that.
I also like the writing!!

It’s all good, I’m used to it in this group. Although, I did find some with Tosh 😃

I had to work over last night. I’m only page 24? Something like that.

i read up to chapter 7 last night. there is a lot of names and a lot to keep straight right now. i really like the overall feel (atmosphere?) of the book. i just hope things come together soon.
