I over heard the news while getting ready for work the other day, they were talking about finding Richard III remain's under a parking lot just recently and were able to confirm it by DNA testing with a 17th, hope I got it right, generation cousin from Canada. Imagine the shock if he had no idea. Anyways thought it was really neat.
It is a window on the birth of England and a reminder of the often overlooked first King of all of Britain, Athelstan.
