I'm currently reading Say You Still Love Me by K.A. Tucker. It started off pretty slow but I'm about 120 pages in now and I'm finally invested in the story and want to know where its going to go. I have K.A. Tucker's Simple Wild on my shelf because so many of my book friends have read and loved it. I just hope that one has a quicker start than this one does so far.

Got one done.

Anyone my age probably grew up reading the Dollanger series. This was supposedly a prequel to that, but it was not. The story was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking to relive or get insight into .

Yesterday was a good day, I ended up finishing 2 arcs! The Kingdom and No Judgments. I'm waiting to list the first one as read and my review until my friend finishes but I did post a review to the second one here.

I just finished my first book from my list. This book was sent to me for review and it's the second book in the series. I also have books 3 & 4 to get to this month as well. Anyways here's the book I finished.

I have already finished 5 books this month, one of them being for this challenge.

It's an ARC from NetGalley called . I gave it 3 stars.

So far I've finished Say You Still Love Me and I've started The Grand Dark which I'm super late finishing. After that I think i'll start Crown of Coral and Pearl which I totally forgot about until this week and I think it releases on 8/27 so I really need to get to it!

I finished The Grand Dark by Richard Kadrey tonight. I was way overdue on this ARC so I'm glad I was finally able to finish and review it. I gave it 4 stars. It was one hell of a ride, that's for sure! Next up is Crown of Coral and Pearl and Gideon the Ninth.

Well, I added an ARC to the shelf, but read it so it is off!

I finished The Death and Life of the Great American School System: How Testing and Choice Are Undermining Education by Diane Ravitch two days ago. You can read my review here. But, I took a break from my TBR to read The Feather Thief by Kirk Wallace Johnson as a part of Bookriot's Read Harder Challenge. I devoured this book in two days and I would recommend it to everyone interested in nature and true crime. You can read my review here.

Over the weekend, I finished reading At Canaan's Edge: America in the King Years 1965-68 by Taylor Branch, thus completing his three-volume history of the Civil Rights movement. An excellent series, but not for the casual reader. You can read my review here.

At the same time, though it wasn't on my TBR, I also completed reading The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley as a part of BookRiot's Read Harder Challenge. You can read my review here.

Im starting my third ARC of the month today; Gideon the Ninth. I'm so, so ready for this book!

Updating msg. 20 in the posting thread. I got all 7 of the ARCs finished that I had listed. This was a great incentive!

I've managed all but three of the books on my list- though one I'm currently reading- but I'm really happy with that. I was also taking part in the NEWT's readathon this month, so I did pretty well for this month! Looking forward to September's reading too. :)
